This charming 2 levels apartment is located in the very heart of St Germain des Pres in one of the most exclusive street in Paris (crn of Rue Dauphine & Rue du Pont de Lodi) 50m walk from the famous Pont Neuf and generally short walking distance from the Buci market, Notre Dame, Isle St Louis, Luxembourg Gardens...

This 47m2 (or 505 sq ft) apartment is been completely renovated with the latest trends of colours and materials. It is central, bright & sunny with wooden floors including in the bathroom.

A trendy place yet in a typical old and romantic Parisian building. It is located at the fifth floor (no elevator though the stairs are easy to climb). You will enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom. Ideal for a young couple with or without children who will quickly feel at home!

Right at the entrance of the building you have a parking spot of 'Velib' (city-sponsored bicycle rental station). A nice and funny way to discover Paris.

Alternatively and if you don't feel like walking, you have no less than 4 metro stations within 300m in each direction. Also plenty of bus stops.

Nice place in a very central part of Paris

This is a cute little apartment in the St. Germain part of Paris, with relatively short walks to many sites. We walked to Notre Dame for Christmas mass, d'Orsay museum, The Louvre, The Sorbonne, The Natural History Museum, among others. There are a lot of nice little cafes and convenient places to buy food on Rue Dauphine, around the corner. You definitely get the feel of romantic old Paris in this area. Its relatively quiet, though you cant entirely escape the occasional raucous noises of late at night anywhere in Paris. There is a bike rental spot on the street below the apartment, though we never used it as it was too cold (and we had a child with us and didn't feel safe riding bikes in the city streets, though Parisians do it all the time). The nearest two Metro stops are about a 5-8 minute walk away, which is quite manageable. This makes getting to the Eiffel Tower or Champs-Elysses manageable, as walking to those spots would be tough. Getting from the airport was very convenient, since the RER train goes straight to the nearest stop. My only caution about this apartment (and reason for the 4 star rating) is the location on the 5th floor (we'd call it the 6th floor in the US, since Europeans call the ground floor "0"). It was good exercise but might be tough for those in frail health, as there is no elevator and the stair is narrow, circular. As the only "man" in the family, I had to make 3 trips to bring our suitcases up, and it was quite a workout! But the apartment itself is very cozy, with pretty views of the Paris skyline, the top of the Eiffel tower and the Notre Dame cathedral. The galley kitchen came in handy, as we made a few meals for ourselves. 3-4 people could sleep there, sharing the fold-out-couch (2) and the bed (2). There is no shower in the American sense, but a flexible shower head in the bathtub, so you can have a one-handed shower. Maybe the norm in France. It has pots, pans, utensils, convection stove, microwave and a drip coffee maker as well as French press. Sheets and pillows are also provided. As a nice touch, the owner has two mini umbrellas there as well, and two sets of keys. Overall, we loved our stay there and being on the top floor was a mixed blessing (nice views, tough climb). Granted, we got used to it and considered it exercise to work off the crepes and chocolate and it really didn't adversely affect our stay! Paris is a wonderful city with a lot to offer, and this is a perfect area to stay in!

This is a gem of an apartment in a part of Paris that really can't be beat. It's clean, warm in winter and has everything one would need for a stay in an apartment. The only trick is the "walk up aspect" but with each flight I rationalized eating more bread and pastry and chocolate.

Great Central Location on the Left Bank

This apartment, just steps away from Pont Neuf on the Left Bank of the Seine, was the perfect place for seeing Paris. The St. Michel station was a brisk 5-7 minute walk away, easily accessible with the luggage we were carrying. It is also a quick 5 minute walk from Rues de Buci and St Andre des Artes, where there are many little cafes, taverns, restaurants and traiteurs, and boutique bakers and pastry makers.
About the apartment: one must know, nothing in Paris is "large" - except the outdoors. Most Parisiens don't "live-in" their homes. They live in the City. Cafes and creperie chairs are everywhere to relieve domestic claustrophobia. That being said, this place had plenty of space in it's pantries, refrigerator, dressers and rooms for well more than the one week we stayed. It was rather roomy for two people, and could see the possibility of holding two more. Philippe and Veronique (the owner and manager, respectively), have kept it neat and inviting, with tea and coffee in the pantry and guide books in the salon/living room (in case you forget yours). The bed was very comfortable and the shylight/windows gave a great, if just slightly obstructed, view (one can't have everything).
The only downside is the five-floors of walk-up stairs. But it's the ONLY downside. I would recommend this apartment and getting to know Philippe and Veronique.

Phillipe was quick to respond with any communication. Angelique who we dealt with on arrival and depart was great! We also thought the location was great and we enjoyed the area we were in. There are multiple places within a very short walking distance and a great little crepe place that became on of our favorites.

Excellent location. Walk to bakery, market, restaurants, etc. Bike rental at front entrance. Remember: it is on the 5th floor with narrow staircase and no elevator, if you can not do it do not rent it.
