This 47m2 (or 505 sq ft) apartment is been completely renovated with the latest trends of colours and materials. It is central, bright & sunny with wooden floors including in the bathroom.
A trendy place yet in a typical old and romantic Parisian building. It is located at the fifth floor (no elevator though the stairs are easy to climb). You will enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower from the bedroom. Ideal for a young couple with or without children who will quickly feel at home!
Right at the entrance of the building you have a parking spot of 'Velib' (city-sponsored bicycle rental station). A nice and funny way to discover Paris.
Alternatively and if you don't feel like walking, you have no less than 4 metro stations within 300m in each direction. Also plenty of bus stops.

All major tourist attractions are within walking distance. 4 metro stations within a couple of minutes walk and a bike rental station at your building door step.
We spent two and a half weeks in Philippe's beautiful apartment and loved it! We wanted a place that could really be our "home away from home" for our honeymoon and the apartment really delivered! It was a wonderful place to relax after a long day of sightseeing, and we loved having a kitchen to cook our own meals (with grocery stores and a patisserie only a couple blocks away, this was super easy!). Even though it's a small apartment, it feels a lot bigger than it is, thanks to the large windows and two stories. We loved opening up the windows in the morning and hearing the sounds of the city.
There are so many places to walk to from the apartment, too - we liked the little park at Pont Neuf, walking down by the river (the Batobus is great!), strolling down to the Louvre and the Tuileries, exploring the Musee d'Orsay and more, all within very easy walking distance.
As others have mentioned, the stairs are a bit of a nuisance. But by the fourth or fifth day, we mostly got used to them and only got winded after the first four flights. ;-) Larger suitcases really would be troublesome, but as long as you're only taking them up once, it's not too bad.
We also enjoyed the close access to the Metro - we were able to visit Versailles and Disneyland Paris very easily, and would have made more day trips if we hadn't gotten sick in the last week of our trip.
Our favorite restaurant we ate at in Paris is Fajitas, less than half a block from the apartment. They have really good Mexican food and an awesome spicy chile sauce that's not for the faint of heart. The chocolate shop a couple stores down is also great. We absolutely loved the little patisserie just a block up from the apartment - the lady who runs it was very, very nice. (Unfortunately, her English was as good as our French and we realized belatedly that, when she was wondering where we were from, we told her "Thursday.")
A few things to note, other than the stairs: The dryer portion of the washer/dryer combination didn't work when we were staying there. It wasn't a huge problem, but if you wear a lot of jeans or heavier clothes, be warned that they could take several days to air dry fully. Also, at one point, we couldn't figure out how to get the stove to turn back on - it would just beep at us when we tried. We figured out that there's a "lock" mode on it that we accidentally engaged while cleaning, and that doing a "long press" on the button on the right unlocks it again.
Philippe's apartment was perfect for all our needs. There is so much to see and many delicious bistros and restaurants in walking distance. The Metro is also accessible when wanting to travel the city. When eating in the apartment, it is quite comfortable and the Market is close. I was pleasantly surprised to find the pull out bed extremely comfortable, the apartment easily accommodates 3 adults. I would recommend this apartment to anyone vacationing in Paris. However, the walk up to the apartment would not be suitable for someone with disabilities.
Philippe's apartment was exactly what we were looking for! It is warm, spacious, and full of light - even during the very rainy week we were there. There are wonderful neighborhood cafes and bistros, along with the Buci market and a Carrefours supermarket one block away. We walked to all of the major sights, including the Eiffel Tower and the Marais district. Several Metro stations are close by and access to the RER for travel to and from the airport was extremely convenient. Gaining access to the apartment after a long flight was very simple thanks to the lockbox. Philippe and his local contact, Veronique, made the whole process hassle-free. Do pack light - the stairs are impressive! But they add to the charm and result in a fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower over the rooftops of Paris. We would highly recommend Phillipe's place and hope to return some day!
If you want a real Parisian experience, this is the place to be. Philippe's apartment is cozy, romantic, well-decorated, and has everything you could possibly need. Not to mention the location is PERFECT! We walked to the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Jardin du Luxembourg (highly recommend), and a ton of fantastic wine bars and restaurants. Our favorite local spots were on Rue de Buci (3 min walk) - great local market (amazing 3 euro red wine), bistros, and a phenomenal bakery called Boulangerie Carton (every morning there'd be a line of Parisians waiting to buy baguettes - so you know it's good!). You can also walk to Les Papilles (a well-known wine bar that is often reviewed as "near Michelin star quality" but relatively inexpensive). On top of all that, Philippe and Veronique made the entire rental process seamless. Everything was clear cut and they were completely trustworthy. After traveling for 15+ hours, it was a welcome relief when the door and key codes worked without a hitch. I will say - make sure you look for the light switch at the bottom of the staircase. We climbed the 5 flights with our suitcases in the complete dark. This was completely our own fault (no idea why we didn't decide to go look for it after the first flight) but just a heads up. Bottom line - Philippe's place is fantastic. We highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!
We stayed in Phillippe's lovely apartment for one week in March, and loved everything about it! The apartment has everything you need to feel relaxed and at home, and the view of the Eiffel Tower at night is like something out of a movie. The apartment is clean and contemporary, the location is right in the heart of one of the best neighborhoods in Paris -- great bistros, wonderful for walking around, metro accessible. Everything was perfect -- so perfect, in fact, that we got engaged on the Pont Neuf and laughed all the way back to "our" pied a terre in the heart of Paris.
We stayed in Paris for 10 days. The apartment was great. Yes there are a lot of steps but you get used to it. It is very warm and the location is in a good area. It is close to everything you want to see and the area is safe.
The market is close as well as the RER and multiple Metro stations. It's nice to be in the apartment after a long day with a view of the eiffel tower and a comfortable living space. We would definitely recommend Philippe's apartment or return ourselves on another trip. Thanks again.
You have one of the many city sponsored bike rental station right at the door of the building. Get your bike when you walk out and rode around Paris. It is fun and romantic
