Guestbook comments from the owner

Jonathan, words cannot express the gratitude we feel for the excellent care we have received before and during our visit to Boston. Your kind words and detailed instructions helped ease any nervousness and anxiety we might have had. The location of the condo was unbelievable - the best. We were able to walk everywhere and only needed to use the subway once. We had many favorites, but our favorite base was Emmet's pub on the corner. We spent several evenings there enjoying a beer or a good meal. A wonderful "local" stop that made us feel at home. Scollay Square was a great experience with great food and wine. We visited so many places and took in quite a few eateries including: the Freedom Trail tour by the National Park Service, the JFK Presidential Library/Museum, Fenway Park, a day trip to New England (Maine and New Hampshire), a daytrip to Rhode Island to tour the Mansions, a trolly tour of the Boston area, a tour of Concord and Lexington, and finished with a Harbor Cruise. All were tremendous. We all agree that a trip to Fenway is a must, and a visit to USS constitution was fun and educational. We ate at the Black Rose (great shepherd pie), Union Oyster House and Omni Parker House. I know that we probably missed a lot of highlights but please note that our adventure has been worth every penny! The condo was perfect, the roof deck was spectacular and your assistance to help us pull it together was truly appreciated. Best wishes.

Quaint retreat in the heart of Boston

  • 5 out of 5
We are extremely pleased with the accommodations provided when we visited Boston. Your condo was perfectly located within walking distance of bars, restaurants, the Freedom Trail, and everything thing else Boston has to offer - directly across from Boston Commons, and the roof-top deck was a true bonus. It was a terrific, memorable vacation, and knowing that we had a nice, quiet, cozy place to regroup and relax every evening was comforting. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect for visitors without a vehicle - we walked everywhere and only had to take the subway to visit the JFK Library. I would highly recommend your condo to those wanting to see Boston up close and personal -- as soon as our feet hit the pavement, we were immersed in history. Thank you for enhancing our stay in Boston. When we return, we hope to stay in this lovely condo again.

A Touch of Versailles on Beacon Hill

  • 5 out of 5
Jonathan and his charming touch of Versailles apt were perfect for our 2-night get-away in Boston. Working with Jonathan in advance was really smooth and he was extremely responsive. He even made a special accommodation for our special need. Not living in a concierge world, we were genuinely impressed by the front desk concierges, who were welcoming and super nice. The apt was spacious and had all the added touches, well labeled throughout the apt. Hairdryer, ample towels, etc. Great rooftop deck for sunset - wow! Don't miss a visit up top. Bedroom was larger than we expected with cute bay window , with nice side street view, and plenty of storage and a very comfy bed. It was quiet. Above all, the location was ideal, next door to State House (with its impressive gold dome), right across from Boston Common and the gorgeous Public Garden, and just steps from the Freedom Trail. Perfect location, perfect apartment, perfect host. Oh, and Scollay's Square bar/restaurant right downstairs was great.

Everything was just great

  • 5 out of 5
Have you ever stayed somewhere and then been a teensy-weensy bit reluctant to share with others because you wanted to keep it all to yourself? Well, this is one of those places. Jonathan's place is quiet, safe, clean, comfortable, well-maintained, in a great location, and I could go on and on with positives. If I had to come up with a negative, it would be that I couldn't watch Monday night football because there's no ESPN. If you're not a football fan, that must sound pretty pathetic. And it is, because everything else about Jonathan's place is simply perfect. Not only that, but Jonathan was extremely responsive by email and very pleasant to meet in person. Highly recommended (reluctantly :).

Perfect location to explore Boston

  • 5 out of 5
We spent a week at Jonathan's lovely apartment in central Boston. The location is perfect. We arrived at Logan and took the free bus to the station, one transfer later we had a 1 block walk and we were there. The building is beautiful inside and out. Check in was a breeze with the great instructions we were provided. We strolled down to the Whole Foods and got a few groceries and enjoyed breakfast in every day. There was a glitch with the coffee maker, and we let Jonathan know and the problem was fixed right away. We were lucky enough to catch a concert at the Hatch on the Charles River Esplanade. What fun. There were subway stops very near the apt., we bought week long passes and used them every single day. Good good and good fun with a great location. We would stay here again without hesitation. Thanks for helping make a business trip be a fun trip too.

Couldn't have been better - Boston's best.

Couldn't have been better - Boston's best.

The Beacon St. apartment was the perfect home base for exploring Boston. My wife and I easily walked to the North End to see The Revere House, pizza at Ernesto's, canoli's at Mike's Pastry, The Old North Church, etc.
We enjoyed drinks and the history of the Union Oyster House, but I would recommend the Sail Loft restaurant on Atlantic Ave for amazing chowder.
The water front, the charm of Charles Street, The Boston Common, anywhere you need to go is close and convenient.
Jonathan was the most responsive and available VRBO host we have ever dealt with.
This historic apt is very comfortable with directions for everything from wi-fi to laundry accommodations. A roof top deck was an added bonus that we took advantage of nightly - bring your camera up with you, amazing.
Best kept secret in Boston - We'll be back. Thanks for everything Jonathan.

Excellent little apartment in terrific area!

  • 5 out of 5
Jonathan's apartment is the perfect location to visit the sites in Boston. The Park Street T station is about a block away. All the downtown highlights are within easy walking distance. Cab fare to the airport is about $20 in the middle of the day during the week.

The apartment was clean and well stocked. A convenience store and two restaurants are at the base of the building. Coffee shop right across the street. Despite its central location, the apartment was very quiet.

Jonathan was always quick to reply to any questions and was very accommodating.

The best part is the rooftop deck. It offers spectacular views as well as a large sitting area. I would definitely recommend this place as hotels in the area are not cheap and don't offer nearly the charm that this apartment does.
