Had a great week here in July. The place is adorable, tucked in the woods and very peaceful. The place feels bigger than it is with the double height ceiling, large windows and sliders in the living room which take in the trees and sky. The decor is very cozy and comfortable, not fussy but with plenty of personal touches to make it feel like you are staying in a well-cared for home. The beds are comfortable and the place is very clean. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning/beers in the evening on the deck, as well as a fire in the fireplace when it got a bit cool. I highly recommend checking out the Simon Pearce Gallery just down the road-- great glassware and pottery (although a bit pricey!) and excellent food (try the Vermont cheese soup). Nearby Woodstock is like a picture postcard of Vermont, and you also need to check out the White Cottage for ice cream, as well as the Long Trail Brewery. Lots to do and see in the area, really beautiful nature. I can only imagine how stunning it must be here in the fall!
