Two 1 bed Apartment on the Italian riviera with fantasic view Sanremo gulf.

Had a great weeks holiday in and around Sanremo from 21st to 28th September 2010.

Pamela and Gino were excellent hosts and helped us have a very enjoyable stay. The apartment was really good, clean and spacious with a lovely terrace and spectacular views to the coast. Even better views from the lovely terrace around the swimming pool! Very quiet and peaceful. Don't let previous comments about the narrow steep drive to the apartment put you off, it's not a problem and no different to roads in the Lake District and Scotland. Well worth the visit.

It is a lovely area with coastal and mountain scenery and good motorway links to Nice, Nice airport and Monaco and Monte Carlo.

A week is not enough, we will be back if Pam and Gino will let us!

San Remo in September -superb.

Gino and Pamela are excellent owners and hosts, and the apartment, location, views are spectacular- as posted and demonstrated in photgraphs.

Great location to visit Menton, Monaco or Imperia, and the coast roads and views are a joy.

Privilaged to enjoy a relaxed coffee in the village above the apartment with Gino and some of his friends early one morning- real Italy and not available in travel catalogues.

Also delighted with the opportunity to meet Walther and Christiana from Hamburg in the second apartment - just the right amount of privacy, companionship early and late, and sharing of the pleasures like Dulca Aqua......as well as the final night meal together as the six of us was excellent in the local pizzaria including music and locals enjoying the fare.

One word of personal advice unrelated to Gino and Pamela....if offered an upgrade in the car hire office to a larger car- avoid!!!!...It takes an hour to drive back to Nice airport and the tolls cost also.....but when you get a smaller car with a big handbrake suited better to the steep hills and tight turns of Liguria...you'll be a lot more relaxed.....An Opel Insignia Estate is great for Motorways and big cities but is absolutely not right for the hills of Liguria despite your many years of driving experience- trust me and my fault totally.....Steep in Liguria is steep!!

Congratulations Gino and Pamel for building an oasis in the hills over San Remo- may you have many years of pleasure there with the occasional visitor not as fortunate where climate, sunshine, location are concerned.

We had a great time during our week stay at Gino and Pam's Italian Villa. Gino and Pam are wonderful people, always pleasant and friendly. The villa is very secure, very clean, and has spectacular views. The villa is about 10 minutes from downtown Sanremo down narrow and windy mountain roads. A small car is a must and directions or meeting Gino upon arrival is preferred. GPS will not help you locate the Villa. From the villa you can easily make trips to the surrounding sights such as Dolceaqua, The Hanbury Botanical Gardens, and Triora. Nice, France was about 1.5 hours away. We would definitely stay again the next time we are in Sanremo.
