Tranquil setting just outside the city limits of Hutchinson, KS. Built on the west edge of a five acre pond. Great for fishing, swimming, or just laying back and relaxing. Located less than one mile from the Hutchinson Zoo, Hutchinson dirt bike/ATV track, Carey Park, and Carey Park Golf Coarse. Within two miles of the Hutchinson Downtown Shopping, The Mall and Mall 8 Theaters, Underground Salt Museum, Hutchinson Sports Complex, Cosmophere Space Center, Kansas State Fair Grounds, and many fine Dining Establishments. We could probably fill two or three pages of different things you can do while you are staying at the Pond a Rosa Inn, but you will have to come and stay to see what we are talking about.
Hunting: The Pond is just out the front door about 20 yards AND it is in the county and ducks and geese flock to it on a regular basis. Can't shoot in the city, but OK in the county. Don't miss out on this opportunity before it is GONE. We do allow pets and hunting dogs; JUST NOT IN THE HOUSE.
There are only 6 houses within a one half mile radius of the lodge and three of them belong to us. this means plenty of room to stroll around and relax. Play tennis on the tennis court or shoot some hoops on either of the two basketball goals. Go fishing, swimming, paddle boating, or just relaxing on the more than 100 yards of sandy beach area along the edge of the pond. We do offer paddle boat rentals, and horse back riding, or you might want to try out our zip line rides.
Owners are Randy Lubbers and LeAnna Doane who also run Lubbers Equipment Inc. of Hutchinson. We sell fertilizer equipment as our main business and operate the Pond-a-Rosa Inn as a second business. Also featured in the photo is our dog 'DeOhGe' who works very hard at helping out here at the Pond-a-Rosa Inn. Ask us about his abilities.
Randy Lubbers purchased this house in 2010
These two properties are located on this pond and we decided if we owned the second property we could make sure we did not have any problems or conflicts with our neighbors. Also the house we live in was originally built as a bar which Randy had visited a few times when he was younger. It carried some sentimental value to him. It also has a very country atmosphere yet a convenient location close to shopping and dining. Which both of us enjoy very much.
We stayed at the Pond-a-Rosa one day and night and were thoroughly relaxed even though we had a rough ride towing a trailer for more than 4 hours. The hosts were helpful and friendly so that we felt like we had come to a relaxing atmosphere including a comfortable home with nice furnishings and comfortable beds. The lake and beach were a great surprise, and we especially enjoyed the ducks, geese, and horses. A gentle breeze and the peaceful country setting made our outdoor supper into a good memory we shall enjoy. The location has easy access to many points of interest, a helpful plus! We would love to stay there again.
My family arrived to the place and we had a gathering of family from all over to visit us. We had easy access to all amenities and the owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. The house was clean and well cared for just as shown in the photographs online and there were home supplies provided such as dishes, silverware etc. The rope swing diving board and slide were tons of fun. The zip line and the paddleboats were enjoyable as well. Our daughters rode horses in the evening which was an amazing experience. Later each evening we sat by the fire pit talking and laughing while we enjoyed the cool evening breezes and the warm glowing fire. Our visit was not long enough, we would have loved to stay longer. We were so comfortable and treated so well, we will be back again and again.
Some very neat places to visit in the area are the Salt Mines, Zoo, and Cosmosphere. Downtown Hutchinson is beautiful old and quaint. A great place to eat while there is the Carriage House. Good food fresh baked goods etc.
The property was clean, well maintained and everything worked perfectly. The kids had a blast swimming, paddle boating, fishing, riding horses and playing on the water slide and swing. The owners live close and are willing to help with anything needed. We hope to come back next year!
We rented the house for a week. We had our 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren aged 8-22. The 8 and 11 year old stayed the whole week and I never heard I am bored even once. They had a blast on the rope swing. The slides really zooms you out into the water. The paddle boats were fun for all ages. They all did the zip line and the horse rides. The one cool rainy day we went to the salt mines, which are very interesting. It was a good time for all.
Had lots of people yet never felt crowded. Kids and adults had a wonderful time and We can't wait to do it again! Loved everything about it and have already told all my friends about it.
Perfect place to stay with kids! Swimming, water slide, zip line, paddle boats, and horse back riding all in one place. Great location also. Very close to restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing! Owners are on site so if you need anything, they are right there to help you out. The house was clean and nicely decorated with comfortable beds and furniture. It was our home away from home!
Awesome fun for us, 4 adults and 7 kids sleep comfortably. Hidden on the edge of Hutchinson, no one can tell you are there. Three bedrooms, three showers but everyone wanted to use the one fancy shower. Beach, waterslide and zip line was a major hit with the kids. Beautiful horses, lots of wildlife all around. I got to take my son in law and grandkids fishing for the first time. They were catching bass and perch off the dock right away. Owners are very nice and attentive and live on the property. We hope to make this a yearly trip.
There are many local museums in the area including the Kansas Salt Museum, Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Museum, Kansas Kids Museum, and more. Carey Park Golf, Salt City Splash amusement park, and Hutchinson Zoo are all within 1 mile of our little get away.
