I visited Linda's apartment with my wife and 2 sons (12 and 9 years old) for a 7 day holiday over Easter. The apartment is in a convenient location for both JFK airport (only a 30 minute cab ride away), and the subway into Manhattan (a 10 minute walk away followed by a 30 to 40 minute train ride into midtown). We found the apartment to be as described and the pictures are very accurate. It was well maintained and clean; the free Wi-Fi was a welcome addition for keeping our family updated via Facebook! Bedford-Stuyvesant seemed like a safe area to us, although we didn't spend much time there, as we were busy sightseeing in Manhattan. We had a great visit to New York and we would recommend Linda's apartment to anyone who wants to visit Manhattan, but doesn't want the restrictions associated with staying in an expensive hotel.

Linda was fantastic - she met us when we arrived and let us settle in earlier than normal check-in time, and provided us with information on the surrounding neighbourhood and where we were planning to visit. The apartment is very nicely updated but also has that beautiful vintage charm with the warmth of the wooden flooring, stairs, trim, fireplace, etc.. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to our family and friends. Thank You Linda, for helping us make a lasting memory of New York !!

Lovely apartment

We had a great time in New York. My son and I came over for a wedding on 27th October. Thankfully, we left the next day before Hurricane Sandy hit! The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for us each to have our own space. Linda was friendly and very helpful. The apartment had interesting features e.g. hand carved lintels and window frames, as you might expect in a lovely old building like this. The subway was excellent value at $29 per person for 7 days unlimited travel and we used this to scoot all over the place.

We were very pleased to stay at this beautiful,clean and safe apartment!
There is plenty of space ,even more than it shows in the pictures.
Linda was very kind and helpful!
The apartment is perfect to stay at if you want to stay in a calm, safe environment away from the busy city!
Would certainly recommend this listing to friends!

My husband, I and 2 kids(aged 10 and 13) stayed for 7 nights. Apartment was clean and very functional and is exactly as you see in the website photos. Location is excellent and close to local shops and subway. Linda is wonderful and extremely helpful. We had a great stay for a first visit to New York and would stay here again.
