This attractive and well-maintained apartment is located on the second floor of a two floor Villa and is situated only 200 mt walking distance from the town centre of Sorrento.

Surrounded by a beautiful Italian Garden and overlooking the Bay of Naples this property offers stunning views of Vesuvio and the Sorrentine Coastline. An ideal accommodation for a professional couple or a family looking for a peaceful corner to spend a quiet holiday.

Staying at Villa Donna Elisa you will be able to visit Sorrento and the surrounding area in a very relaxed way, having as a home base a lovely apartment just out of the noisy center. In a few minutes you will be able to reach the historical heart of the town, with its charming alleys, full of life and colors, its monuments, such as the cathedral or the Cloister of San Francesco, its beautiful gardens.

No car needed, if you'll have one, parking available inside the villa.

Why there?: He had several good reasons for choosing this spot, and it is for these same reasons that modern-day travelers are spellbound by this amazing villa. From the large and splendid terrace, placed directly above the sea, you will be able to admire the incomparable scenery of Sorrento and the tall cliffs that dive into the sea. A bit further in the distance, your sight will rest on the large arc of the Gulf of Naples, with the characteristic cone of Mount Vesuvius right in the middle of it. Closer by, you will be able to see other elegant historical mansions, which now are luxury hotels.

If you lean from the balustrade of the terrace, you will see the green-azure sea of Sorrento right below you, with its long, thin strips of beaches, colored by lounges and umbrellas. And there are many more things to delight your senses... the mild climate, the perfume of oranges and lemons.

Just around...: Villa Donna Elisa is just a few steps from the harbor of Sorrento, which can be reached from Piazza Tasso along a pedestrian-only steps. From the harbor you will be able to board the ferries and the hydrofoils that go to Capri, Ischia, Positano, Amalfi and Naples. The Circumvesuviana train station, which connects Sorrento to Pompeii and to the train station in Naples, is also at 300 mt from the villa, and so is the bus stop. The car is not absolutely needed...

In September 2003, after ten years of living in Punta del Este, Uruguay and Paris, France working as a private Bank Manager, I came back to Sorrento (like the famous song 'Torna a Surriento') and I started to rent my own Villa.

Villa Donna Elisa is located just a few steps from Piazza Tasso and Piazza Lauro,surrounded by a luxuriant garden in the ideal location for visiting Sorrento and the many itineraries for discovering the Sorrento Peninsula, the water shed between the Gulfs of Naples and Sorrento, with Punta Campanella, which separates the Sorrento coast from the Amalfi coast. Sorrento is very well served by public transportation,both by land,with the light rail line Circumvesuviana (train st. just 50 mt. from Villa), which connects with Naples in 1h., the excavations at Pompei in 1/2 h. an 1 h. and those of Ercolano in 50 min., and by sea, with the direct Naples - Sorrento hydrofoil (35 min.) and the Metro del Mare that,from Porto Marina Piccola (where the hydrofoils leave for Capri and Ischia),1 km from the Villa, with numerous boat reaches Naples in 40 min., Positano in a 30' and Amalfi in 1 h.. The CTP buses for tourists provide a 24 h. connection between all main touristic points.

    Upon arrival at the Villa the property manager/owner will ask you to present a copy of your passport, and pay the security deposit.
    Check-in after 4.00 pm - check out before 10.00 am or by different arrangement.

A wonderful villa for facilities and location. Is there another villa in Sorrento with such a wonderful view across the Bay of Naples and so close to the main square?

Add to that private parking within a beautiful garden and a wonderful host and agent, it is hard to imagine a better villa in Italy and possibly anywhere on the med.

Highly recommended.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

A Little Bit of Heaven

There is so much good to say about this property. It really is like a little bit of heaven. We (two couples) found the villa to be even better than described on the website. It is private and secluded, but so conveniently located in Sorrento we were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants easily. The gardens are lovely, and until you have sat on one of the verandahs and enjoyed a sunset over the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius, you have not experienced all Sorrento has to offer. And when I say overlooking the Bay of Naples, I mean it is exactly on the cliffside. The rooms are so tastefully decorated and arranged, clean and vibrant, we constantly remarked on them. However, the shining star of the villa was Donna Elissa, our hostess and friend. We felt like we were part of her family and she was so helpful and accomodating to us. We would love to return to see both her and the villa once again.

The villa Donna Elisa was even better than advertised! The property is beautiful, the location is perfect (no car needed), and the owner is a delight! Donna Elisa enriched our time in Sorrento with her wonderful hospitality and vast knowledge. We would never stay anywhere else if we are lucky enough to return some day!

Stunning well located Villa in heart of Sorrento

Just returned from Sorrento after a splendid week at the Villa Donna Elise in Sorrento. Travelled with my wife and her sister and husband. It was their first stay in Sorrento but our sixth so we knew before we arrived that this villa is in a superb position, overlooking the Bay of Naples, and a stones throw from the town centre.
We arrived about half one in the afternoon and were met by the owner, the charming Madam Elise. As soon as we set foot in the villa, it was obvious that this was a stunning well maintained property. The photos probably don't do the villa sufficient justice, but suffice to say, for two couples, there is plenty of room and the villa is very well equipped.
There are balconies galore from which to sit and have breakfast or lunch and watch the ships in and out of the Marina piccolo below. The gardens of the villa are stunning and needless to say, confirmed by the owner, take a great deal of effort to keep them that way!
The villa has everything you could want for a week or twos stay. If you have visited Sorrento before, you probably know this is in a superb location already. If you haven,t, book without hesitation. You have very easy access to the main town of Sorrento (5 mins tops), close to station for trains to Pompeii and herculaneum (5 mins across road from piazza Lauro) and easy access to ferries at the marina piccolo.
As long as you are reasonably mobile, this villa is perfect. Clean, tidy, spacious and well equipped, and complete with a charming hostess who is there to help if required, but also respects your privacy. Superb location, fantastic villa and a lovely hostess in a superb town. What more could you ask for?
Would I recommend this villa? Without hesitation, YES!

A Privilege to Stay Here

We (2 couples) stayed here for a week. This is a truly wonderful place with everything you need. Surroundings, furnishings, and location could not be better. Elise is the wonderful owner. The gardens and views are amazing. The place is spotless and very large. It's always nice (but rare) when the rental is better than the online pictures.

You have everything you need for a perfect vacation and won't need a car if you stay here. Restaurants, shops, and transportation are all within easy walking distance. Thank you Elise from everyone!
