JAW DROPPING, EQUISITE: A SPECIAL PLACE FOR VERY SPECIAL OCCASIONS.

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Port Angeles - Lake Dream Chalet

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

'Like waking from a dream'... that's a typical reaction to this truly magical, romantic property. Inside and out...when you arrive, you will realize you have found a little piece of heaven in one of the most remarkable places on earth. Check-in is a breeze, and each booking is given meticulous attention to detail.

Imagine looking out a twenty foot wall of windows to a soaring vista of sparkling emerald water and the magnificent Olympic peaks. Our home is meant for romance, with a private setting nestled in the trees.

This intimate waterfront home on Lake Sutherland near Port Angeles allows easy access to one of the worlds most untouched National Parks and all it's grandeur...glacial fed waterfalls, old growth hiking trails, pristine pacific beaches, breath taking Hurricane Ridge, salmon-run Sol Duc and Elwha Rivers, gorgeous Lake Crescent, renowned Hoh rainforest, and the diverse wildlife of the worlds largest temperate rainforest.

Built by a cabinet maker, the house embraces you with the warmth of knotty pine. With an emphasis on intimacy, the home is luxuriously equipped with special artistic touches in every corner to make your stay memorable in every way. In the morning, lie in bed and watch wisps of fog dance through the distant valleys in the far cliffs. Pack light, and let your hosts provide an unforgettable getaway that offers year round reasons to book your anniversary, honeymoon, or family getaway. Spectacular Lake Crescent and Marymere Falls are just minutes away. We offer a 'things to do list', but don't forget to schedule time to simply unwind in this peace of paradise. Soothe in the hot tub, dine overlooking the lake, relax in the hammock from one of the most private and secluded settings on the lake.

Off season provides splendid lakefront solitude for writers or artists, or anyone longing simply to put up their feet and unwind. During the fall, layers of yellow aspens grace the far ridges. Snow capped mountains enhance the jaw dropping view winter and spring.

A limited number of neighbors share occasional access to shore.

About Randy Adams

My wife and I have decades in the hospitality business, with an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management, and management experience at several well known bed and breakfasts on the Northern California coast. As well, we are both successful, professional artists and collectors, which shows throughout the house. As your hosts, we are serious about assuring that you will be pinching yourself during your stay!

We know the importance of all the luxury touches and attention to details. Each and every booking, no matter its length, is considered with equal importance. As well, because we live very near by, we are able to pay attention to your needs throughout your stay, while respecting...first and foremost...your privacy. It is, simply, our goal to make your stay as memorable as possible.

Another benefit, one we have learned is often much appreciated by our guest, is our knowledge of the Park and surrounding area. There is a lot to do and see, and we are happy to give custom advice at each and every request. A great list of web links and personal suggestions is available prior to your visit, and any special requests are gladly entertained. It is our goal to show both our hospitality professionalism, and our hearts.

Why Randy Adams chose Port Angeles

We chose this property because of it's luxurious, inspiring beauty, and profound serenity. It truly is a magical place with pristine water, snow capped mountains, crisp clean air, abundant wildlife and old growth nature. It is a piece of heaven in a spectacular part of our amazing planet.

What makes this house unique

This place can't be beat for: 1) Exploring the Olympic National Park. The proximity is fantastic. Some of the best hikes are nearby. Spectacular waterfalls and old growth virgin forests dripping with moss and ferns (Olympic National Park holds the worlds largest temperate rain forest). 2) Enjoying an incredible view right outside your window. Our 'wall of windows' looks out over a jaw-dropping vista of water and mountain scape. 3) Our attention to detail, and to bending over backwards to accommodate you. Our guest book gushes with thanks and praise. 4) All the other things to do...day trip to Victoria BC from a ferry right out of Port Angeles, river rafting the famous Elwha, fishing off the dock, or chartering out of Neah Bay...it goes on and on! We know what there is to do, and are happy to help you plan your moments.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I have never seen so many stars as I have here above the emerald lake. I love the mountains which rise from the water. Attention to detail, inside and out, makes this a great house. Everything is ready to go. This is the most relaxed I have been in years and I dread returning to the rush of Seattle.

Nothing Short of Fabulous!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful home for 4 nights in June and we can't wait to go back! Such a perfect location to make day trips too. We visited the rainforest, went to the tide pools, ate at the amazing Crescent Lake Lodge. A must is taking a canoe trip around the lake as well as hanging out in the hot tub for an evening. Randy was very accommodating and super helpful, although we never had the opportunity to actually meet him. Maybe next time, because there will be a next time! Thank you for everything!

Simply Breathtaking..!

  • 5 out of 5
My wife was looking for a quite calm place to rest, my daughter was looking for green mountains and waterfalls. I was looking for hot tubs and lake access. You multiply that times a million and you would be scratching the surface to the best get away vacation spot ever.. From the front facing 2 story open windows seen though-out the entire home, to all the home comforts built in, wifi, cable, kitchens, open decks, built-in stoves, bathrooms, full laundry, the list goes on and on. We had such a great time at the cabin, we were tore how to leave it. It was more then you expect and better then can be explained. I will be coming back (well WE WILL BE) time and time again...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • 5 out of 5
Living in a big, noisy city, we found ourselves decompressing the moment we arrived at this incredible place. The cabin is so well appointed, thoughtfully and with obvious care by the owners. It was such a pleasure to be surrounded by the peace and tranquility of this lake-front cabin. It's private and peaceful and sooooooo quiet. Ahhhhhhhhh's of relaxation is what we both said when we arrived, then, running like kids down to the dock, checking out the canoe and deck chairs, up to the hammock and then the upper deck with the hot tub. Nature was at its finest with fall colors and perfect sunny skies. We awoke every morning to the spectacular scene of the sun burning mist off the lake and leaves gently falling. Why would we ever want to leave? We will most certainly be back.
We recommend day trips - a hike up to Marymere Falls - and a MUST is Rialto Beach (no matter what the weather, it is amazing).

We couldn't have been more pleased and comfortable with the lakefront chalet! There was so much to see around Olympic Ntl Park, but it was difficult to leave the lovely chalet! We definitely plan to return.

The pictures on the VRBO listing for this property are exactly as you will find when you arrive. It is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for the perfect stay on the Olympic Peninsula.
The four of us spent very relaxing mornings drinking coffee outdoors and enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. We ventured out for day trips to Cape Flattery, Hurricane Ridge and Rialto Beach and were back in time to cook our fresh seafood dinner and relax on one of the three decks provided. The Only day returned after dark was the day we went to Victoria, BC. Wine in the hot tub was the finishing touch to a beautiful day. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay at this charming Dream Chalet is perfect!

Just amazing

  • 5 out of 5
We had the pleasure to stay at the chalet for 10 days, the owners where beyond excellent host, the house is more than the pictures can possibly capture, comfy, quiet and a fully equipped kitchen made our stay to feel that we where in our own home, close to everything in the area we got to go hiking , visited local farmers market but the most rewarding thing for us was to be able to stay in the chalet from morning to night with out a phone call or somebody knocking on your door, fishing from the dock having some wine or just plain relaxing is just one of the many things this chalet has to offer, may i add that all furniture and beds and just everything is super comfortable highly recommend this amazing chalet.

Outstanding location for exploring the Olympic National Park, Pacific beaches, Lake Crescent, and of course Lake Sutherland. There isn't another property like ours. When you arrive, and take it all in, you will realize you have found a little piece of heaven... truly magical. Perhaps the most obvious attraction is the setting on the lake, and the view across to Storm King Ridge (nothing quite like it). Besides all the activities, this is the place for unwinding, deep breathing, first honeymooning, second honeymooning, serious romancing.

Notes:
Waterfront deck and dock with adirondack chairs, seating for four with patio table and umbrella, recliners, large flowering pots in many areas, grounds landscaped with subtle outdoor art. The house has expensive original art, antiques, and special touches throughout. It is common for guests to comment on the artistic way the house is decorated. Everywhere you turn, there is a special artistic touch. Great effort has gone into making the property unique in this way. In many ways, the house itself is a work of art. Add the incredible natural surroundings of the spring feed lake and soaring ridges that form the northern boundary of the Olympic National Park, and the entire property is indeed jaw dropping.
