This lovely apartment is located 5 minutes from the Rialto bridge and the fish and vegetable market. It is part of the Palazzo Albrizzi historical complex and belongs to the Albrizzi family since the 18th century. Its windows overlook the 'Rio de Madoneta'. The flat has been recently restored and the original 18th century stucco work makes it a really cosy place. S.Marco square is only 10 mins walking as well as the most important museums and churches such as St. Marks Square, Accademia, Cà Rezzonico, S.Maria Gloriosa dei Frari (Titian paintings) and Scuola di S.Rocco (Tintoretto). 2 sofabeds in the living room are convenient if you have a child or a extra friend coming to visit. The flat has a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. All linens are provided.
We really enjoyed our stay in your elegant and historic apartment, and found it so conveniently close to everywhere - an oasis in ther heart of the city! On the Sunday we were on the Rialto bridge to see lots of the rowing boats returning which was a nice way to round off our last day.
Thank you and best regards

This is the perfect apartment for a stay in Venice. Absolutely charming with the stone staircases and courtyard, the history of the building and the relationship to the owner. The owner is extremely accommodating and available and he is next door. Adding to the charm are the ceilings and the comfy furniture. He has a huge collection of CDs which when playing Vivaldi enhances the romance of the apartment. The apartment is very spacious and clean, I could seriously move in for a month or two. The views of the canal are perfect. The location is perfect and right in the center of local neighborhoods. The location is close to everything. We would stay here again!
We were delighted to find that the apartment was exactly as we imagined. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Guilio, we felt at home. The apartment had everything we needed and the location was ideal for enjoying the main tourist areas whilst still having a lovely quiet base to come back to each day. From the local school children playing at play time in the square to the gondolas passing beneath our windows, we felt very privileged to be allowed to enjoy a true taste of Venice.
Forget about hotels, stay at Giulio's flat, live like a proper Venetian and experience Venice from within. We've spent 9 days at this delightful flat. Giulio is a pleasure to deal with, very kind and friendly, but never intrusive. It is a bonus living in the same building, if ever you'd need help. If you'd like to get the feel of how it is living in Venice, this is the place to be. The location is perfect: a small Venetian square, quiet and serene, with the occasional tourist lost in the countless alleys, yet lively sometimes, with children from the primary school having their break on the square. Rialto Bridge & Market are just 5 minutes away. The vaporetto stop San Silvestro is nearest to the flat, Rialto and Rialto Mercato are very close too, ideal for connections to other vaporetto lines while getting around during your stay (for crossing the Grand Canal from Rialto Mercato to Ca' D'Oro). Palazzo Albrizzi is an ancient five-floor building full of history and character, with an old courtyard, leading to a small canal (Rio de la Madoneta ) where the owner's boat is moored. After 65 steps you'll reach your flat on the 3rd floor, immaculately clean, light and airy, very spacious: a hall full of books, a large lounge, where 3 windows give out onto the canal, a built-in cabinet with CD's (mostly classical music), a large, quiet bedroom (bed 1.90m!) and lots of storage room, a nice kitchen and bathroom. Original 18th century stucco work, lovely ceilings in pastels and antique furniture, windows with wooden shutters. The kitchen takes you back a few decades -it all adds to the charm of the flat- is nice and practical (large fridge, freezer, lots of kitchenware). A decent supply of cooking ingredients gets you started. We loved cooking all our meals here, with fresh ingredients from the Rialto market. I never do any washing whilst on holiday, this time I made an exception. I washed 3 hankies by hand just to be able to hang them out like the locals do, on a rope that you move around, high above the canal, ... quite tricky. I loved to watch the gondoliers passing by, but was even more intrigued by the boats carrying supplies: pipes for heating & electricity, bags of cement, wine barrels, beer pallets, veg and fruit, large tins of tomato purée ...and bringing children to school in the morning! Excellent wireless internet. This flat is amazing value for money, highly recommendable! Mille grazie, Giulio e Benedetta. We hope to come back soon. Hilda & Philip
We recently had a wonderful visit to Venice. This apartment in the Campiello Albrizzi, with it's period stucco work and comfortable furnishings, really captures the flavor of Venice. It is located only a few minutes walk from Rialto and S. Marco but is private and secluded from the hustle and bustle of tourist traffic in those areas. There are market stalls nearby for purchasing fruits and vegetables and souvenirs. The apartment looks out onto a small canal. We did not feel isolated if we needed help or had questions. When we had a problem with our credit card company, Mr. Viscardi helped us communicate with them and sort it out. We recommend this lovely apartment for a quiet and comfortable stay in Venice.
We loved staying in this lovingly decorated apartment. The fancy patterns on the ceilings, enhanced with pastel colors, were similar to those we saw in the Doges Palace. The windows in each room provided tons of natural light, a charming view of the narrow canal below, and sounds of the occasional singing gondolier passing by. Each evening we could pull the shutters closed to avoid being wakened by the morning light. There was lots of storage, plenty of hangers, comfortable bed, and convenient roomy bathroom. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, silverware, knives, cooking utensils and two stovetop coffee pots. We also found beginning cooking supplies including olive oil, sugar, coffee and pasta as well as wonderful marble counters and tabletop. The washing machine was a real plus---we even enjoyed the drama of hanging our wash out the window over the canal. Fortunately there were enough clothespins! The maps and information about stores and restaurants helped us find our way in the neighborhood, and the CD player and classical music collection filled our evenings with melody. We especially loved being able to walk easily to the Rialto market, seeing the school children at play in the tiny campiello and being away from the crowds of tourists and tour groups. When we return to Venice, we will definitely stay here.
The flat is located in the Rialto bridge area. It's a 10 minutes walking to get to Piazza S. Marco and Palazzo Ducale. A waterbus stop is 5 minutes away, but there are so many things you can reach just walking ! The Frari Cathedral and S. Rocco School. The Accademia and, if you are interested in modern and contemporary art the Guggenheim Museum and Palazzo Grassi.
Rialto is a very lively place. Ther's a fish and vegetable market every morning, and an endless choice of restaurants and wineries where you can enjoy some delicious and savoury finger food along with a glass of prosecco wine.
