This small holiday complex is located only a short walk to the famous Cap Roig beach, a sandy heaven that is never crowded. It only has nine holiday homes so the large swimming pool is also never crowded and is easily accessed from the private garden. There is a spacious light-flilled ground floor apartment with a huge 100 square meter lawned garden and stone barbecue as the centre-piece that sleeps up to seven; there is also a very large airy four-bedroom townhouse on three levels with sea-views from the top terrace that is air-conditioned through-it and sleeps up to 9.
The destination of L'Ampolla is quite special and very accessible since Ryan Air began flying daily to Reus airport (just 40kilometres from us) It means that it is both cheap to fly into the heart of Catalunya and exceedingly easy to retrieve your luggage and get on with your holiday. But this really is a very different part of Spain. It has a wholly unspoiled coast-line with hidden coves and natural beaches. L’Ampolla is a fishing village and has been a favorite with mainland Europeans for decades, attracted by its quiet charm, sandy beaches, mountain backdrops and sea-food restaurants. It is also on the edge of the River Ebro Delta, a Nature Reserve protected by UNESCO and is the home to a myriad of bird species. Also of note is the nearby medieval town of Tortosa, a great destination for a day trip of shopping and culture.

My name is Eva and I brought my husband Adrian (who is Irish) and children to live in this lovely part of Spain in 2005. We had a language school in Ireland but one day we decided we had enough rain and would make the big move; now we work in tourism and hospitality which we both love. I guess you cannot really 'plan to be happy' in a different country so we are lucky it turned out so well as we love living by the Mediterranean and in the sun and (even more importantly) so do our children! They were kids when we arrived but along the way they turned into teenagers. I think the most important thing to know about us is we like to do things properly and have everything as it should be so if you come to Spain to us on holidays, we are here in the village of L'Ampolla to make sure that your holiday is enjoyable! Because holiday are important and that is something we take seriously.

El OLivo in Cap Roig resort is just the kind of property we wanted to buy. First it was a stone's throw to a great beach and an unspoiled coastline. and just as importantly, it was spacious and with a generous sized swimming pool. Combine this with a well designed layout, the fabulous garden and we reckoned we had found just what we were looking for.
I suppose the unspoiled natural coastline is a big one. It offers wonderful walks and an environment to relax in. I also love the garden and the stone barbecue for sizzling the steaks in the evening. It is perfect for families to chill out and enjoy the sun. The apartment itself is big, comfortable, air-conditioned and really well designed so the pool is nearby but still off limits for little people unless accompanied by an adult - perfect for families with small children. Another important consideration is the village of L'Ampolla where the seafood is great and the harbour very pleasant indeed. There is also Vanessa's pizzeria at 200 metres walk which serves great food under the olive trees at very reasonable prices. Also it is close to Les Oliveres hotel and Spa where a wide range of beauty treatments and massage are available.
This lovely and airy holiday home is located on the Mediterranean and offers the best of both worlds. On the one hand it is located in a resort beside unspoiled beaches and coastline, near the quaint harbour village of L'Ampolla which has been a favourite with mainland Europeans for decades; on the other there is tennis, watersports, theme parks and a host of other activities on offer. And since Ryan Air began flying daily into Reus airport, it is both cheap to fly into the heart of Catalunya & exceedingly easy to retrieve your luggage and get on with your holiday. Barcelona is just a trip away & a visit to the the Nou Camp football stadium or the famous Ramblas. 15 minutes away is Tortosa, the Medieval capital of the area, famous as a shopping destination as well as its impressive Gothic Cathedral. Golf or horse riding or something as different as a day kayaking down the river Ebro through breath-taking Natural wilderness can be booked. In short, there is something for everyone!!

During the High Season, the apartment is only available Saturday to Saturday. Off season provides a little more flexibility and we try accommodate our guests travel needs as much as possible. Wifi is available in El Olivo at a charge of €30 per week but it must be specified before arrival
When you make a booking, 30% of the total fee should be paid. Payment is by credit card or via bank transfer. The balance should be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. Rental rates include all linen and bathroom towels. If a change of linen is required, there is a charge of 30 euros.
