A self-catering lodge nestling on the shores of Loch Tay in Bonnie Scotland

This beautiful 4 star Scandinavian lodge offers luxurious comfort and breathtaking scenery. Ideal base for those wanting self-catering luxury accommodation offering outdoor facilities such as hillwalking, water sports, and bird watching. Activities on Loch Tay include canoeing, sailing and pleasure boating. Mountain bikes are available for hire with transport, if required, to take our guests to their starting point. Archery and Clay Pigeon shooting also available. The Boathouse Restaurant on site provides a very welcoming atmosphere.

For wildlife enthusiasts, there are red squirrels, pheasants, pine marten, red deer, and a chance to see a mountain hare on Ben Lawers mountain, which is within a five minute drive.

the magnificent Ben Lawers mountain range and Visitor Centre, with its abundance of rare Alpine plants, and its population of ravens, ring ouzels, red grouse, ptarmigan, dippers and curlews;

a local horn carver's shop in Lawers;

the nature trail of the Birk's of Aberfeldy, made famous by Rabbie Burns in 1787 in his song of the same name, in Aberfeldy, the home of the Harry Potter creator;

fantastic events held throughout the year including exhibitions, fairs, Highland Games, to name a few;

a 9 hole golf course at nearby Killin, set amidst spectacular scenery;

the famous Crannog Centre located at Kenmore, a 15 minute drive away, and well worth a visit.

Also on the upper level are one twin bed bedroom and one single bed bedroom. On the ground floor there is one twin bed bedroom with full size bunk beds. An extra folding bed is available if required. Baby cots are available on site.

Have stayed at Lochtay Highland Lodges before and it gets better and better each time we visit. Had a few days away with the future in laws, food was great, drink was flowing and company even better. What a breathtaking view you wake up to staying at Tayview, overlooking Loch Tay, whether it's raining or the sun is shining, you still have a great experience regardless of the weather. Very comfortable surroundings at Tayview, feels like your at home. When you drive down the hill at the entrance to Loch Tay Lodges, someone flicks a switch and puts you into relaxation mode. Sat outside for a couple of hours with my music playing in the background, so relaxed, will definetily be coming back again.

Tay View Lodge is perfectly situated for us (2 Adults and 3 Children aged 10, 7 and 7) we were blown away by how well the lodge is kitted out. It was a real home from home and provided us with everything we needed. The balcony off the master bedroom providing breathtaking views over Loch Tay is a memory we will never forget! The site was ideal for our kids; very safe and there’s lots of places for the kids to discover and play freely. We hired a boat twice on our weeks visit and had a great time on the loch. We noticed also that there's facility to hire bikes and canoes etc and these appeared to be popular. The owner was very quick when getting back to us and very professional in his approach. Thank you for the tip to visit Aberfeldy and the Crannog Centre with the kids. Highly recommended for families and groups who love the outdoors and barbeques. On site boat house is a must down by the marina (2 min stroll away). DB, West Lothian.

Fantastic accommodation

We recently stayed at the Tayview Lodge to celebrate New Year and we had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this lodge to groups, families with children, anyone in fact.

Split over two levels we were surprised at the space inside and it was a very comfortable stay for 8 adults.

Fitted out wth al the mod-cons (plasma TV, dishwasher, Freesat TV, DVD Player, etc), and after putting on the heaters on arrival, the whole lodge was toasty and warm within the hour.

We celebrated the bells with some champagne on the upstairs balcony before dancing the rest of the wee small hours in the spacious lounge downstairs.

The lodge is within good distance of some great walks up Ben Lawers and Killin. There are also plenty of activities to chose from on site.

Overall I would highly recommend this lodge and we will be visiting again soon.

Fabulous location, well equipped lodge, accurate website description of the lodge and amenities. Excellent meals at The Boathouse Restaurant on site - lovely food well preented, and the staff were great! We will certainly be back.
