The website and pictures do not do justice to this property--it is far worse than represented. First, the road to get to the property is one of the worst I have seen! rent a 4 wheel drive jeep and you might make it through the week. It is about 4 miles of ruts and potholes that challenge your back and rear end on each passing. The house is totally "off the grid", meaning it operates on solar power and on a cloudy day don't count on much electricity. We had one black out and precious little hot water. Five of us, including one child, took turns showering in one shower that had enough water pressure and hot water for a decent shower. Lighting is a real problem. Most rooms have one or two dim lights, few lamps work and it was very difficult to find a spot to read after dark. The kitchen stove is adequate if one can keep the pilot light lit. We had to light the oven pilot each time we wanted to use it and hoped it stayed lit to finish cooking our meal. The TV was a highlight--a 50 + inch flat screen with dish network that provided plenty of choices. The pool and views were a plus and the staff was very accommodating. A large German Shepherd dog shared our home with us and did quite a bit of shedding. If you like good views, a jungle-like atmosphere and isolation, this is the place for you. We felt like we were doing little more than camping out. Lots of fun things to do in the area and beautiful beaches, but hard to get to them from this destination. We would not go back and would not recommend it.
