Less than five minutes will find you in Woodend (with its cafes, restaurants, shops and two great pubs), the village of Mt Macedon itself and Hanging Rock. 15 minutes away is Kyneton with its two one-hat restaurants and fabulous pub. There are numerous cellar doors within an easy drive.
SkyHouse also backs on to the Macedon Regional Park and there are wonderful walks from the house to Camels Hump, the Mount Macedon Memorial Cross and even Mount Macedon village itself. Jump in your car and the mystical Hanging Rock is only five minutes away with its walks, picnic grounds and horse racing track.
Mount Macedon is also renowned for its cool-climate, English-style gardens and there are various gardens open for public viewing. We also have two public golf courses within an easy drive at Woodend and Mount Macedon.

"SkyHouse's exquisite view of Hanging Rock from the lounge, kitchen, deck and upstairs balcony is a magic that pervades this pristine double-storey holiday home, perched on the side of Mount Macedon and 10 minutes' drive from Woodend. With its spotless timber floors, impeccably stylish furnishings and three smartly appointed bedrooms - two with queen beds, the third with twin singles - SkyHouse is a great escape for families and groups of friends.
The generous gardens, which include a mini-sports oval complete with pétanque set, are ideal for slow summer evenings enjoying the ample birdlife and stunning views. In the heat of the day, retreat indoors to the air-conditioned comfort of the house, where the open-plan living space also provides an excellent viewing platform from which to enjoy Hanging Rock and the picturesque plains below. The fully equipped kitchen makes dinner for big groups easy, and there are three outdoor picnic tables, one of them under cover and next to a barbecue."
