Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-3)

Total size: 47 square meter (~500 square feet), 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, 1 bathroom adjacent to the bedroom with hot/cold water, 1 living room with single sized day bed which can be converted into a bed for a third person. High ceiling rooms, 4 seated dining table, a kitchenette with a two burner gas stove, refrigerator, sink, and all other necessary kitchenette equipment, amoire, safety box with electronic keypad, direct garden access. Daily full house cleaning service provided (does not include laundry of personal clothing). Sheets and towels provided and changed by the maid on a regular base. Shared lap pool use (pool size 12.5x6m / 42'x18').

The apartment is designed to provide comfort for two people, maybe a couple with a child, for a short term vacation or even a stay of a few weeks.

The surrounding: In addition to a garden restaurant and an internet cafe within the boutique resort complex, many other restaurants as well as galleries, grocery shopping, spas, yoga studios, laundry services, etc. are within short walking distance. Yet, The Studios are set back from the main road. A 120m (130 yard) walkway leads from the parking area to The Studios, passing the internet cafe, the garden side restaurant, through our tropical garden by the traditional Balinese house temple and finally arriving at the tranquility of the pool and studio area with its fabulous nature views. The west side of the property sweeps down to a small stream, overlooks seemingly endless rice fields and has a variety of beautiful palm trees, beautiful orchids and many other tropical plants. Refreshing nature walks can be started right from the back door of the property. The property as a whole is owned by a prominent Balinese family who still practices their traditional spiritual lifestyle at the house temple.

The facilities: Daily full house cleaning service (does not include laundry of personal clothing) is provided by our house keeper. House management checks you in and out and is on call for special needs which can't be solved by the house keeper who comes to clean the apartment in the morning. Free internet connection. Rice field, garden and pool views. Night time security guard on site. Garden restaurant on site. If you don't travel with your own computer, there is also an internet cafe on site providing internet and other computer related services for very reasonable prices.

All in all, our apartment is a perfect way to experience Bali at its best.

The Best 'hidden secret hideaway' in Ubud! I stayed at The Studios Ubud (hidden away at the rear of a beautiful compound) for 16 wonderful days this spring and I cannot praise the experience highly enough. I hate to reveal what a fabulous 'deal' this place is, but it's only about a third of the fair rental price for the property! The building is a more sleek and modern building - of the highest quality materials - marble flooring, high end bath fixtures, great lighting, electric outlets and windows, etc. It is absolutely gorgeous inside, beautiful and efficient but still warm and very comfortable with light and airy rooms - very tastefully and artistically crafted. Also, it is basically brand new, all quality linens, dishware and appliances are new and sparkling clean (something I have found rare in Bali) and kept that way by the most terrific and helpful house keeper, who is a love.

  • Low season (October 8 - December 15): Daily $44/night Weekly $273/week (7 nights)
    Mid season (January 9 - May 31): Daily US$49/night Weekly US$308/week (7 nights)
    High season (May 31 - October 8): Daily US$54/night Weekly US$343/week (7 nights)
    Peak season (December 15 - January 9): US$59/night, no weekly rate applies.
    All rates are nett and for a two people occupation. Minimum stay: 2 nights.
    Additional occupants: age 12 until adult US$15.-/per person per night, age 0-12 US$10.-/per person per night. A US$35.- end cleaning fee will be applied to the total charges, airport pick up per private van US$39.-, airport drop off US$32.- (return US$66.-).
    Long term rates are calculated and prorated from the seasonal weekly rate.
    Dates Available: Year round. Please book ahead.
  • Payment policy:
    To confirm a booking a non refundable 50% deposit from the grand total due is required to be paid in advance together with the booking The final payment is due and must be received at 30 days prior to guest arrival (or together with the booking if it is booked less than 30 days in advance of arrival). Failure to make final payment on a timely basis will result in an automatic cancellation of the reservation. All payments have to be received in full amount. Mode of payment can be through USA checks for guests from within the USA or PayPal transfer (for PayPal payment we add 3.9%) into our PayPal account. Guests from within Indonesia have the opportunity to transfer money into our Indonesian accounts.

Wondurful Bali ,wonderful apartement

We went to Bali from June 28th 2012 to July 14th 2012.
We stayed in the apartment 14 days.
Ubud is the perfect place to visit Bali. The apartment is at a walking distance from the Ubud Center (20 minutes) on the main road. The apartment is located on a very nice family compound (Toko Toko).
We went walking in the rice fields, at the volcano, in the jungle, in Ubud, in small villages around Ubud and we visited many of the well-known places in the island with Agund Ngurah.
Agund is the driver assigned to the apartment.
He understands our needs, he is able to explain history, knows the interesting places (temples, stores, typical restaurants, people, local trips, trekking trails, etc)…and he is always smiling.
He drives carefully and when he had to wait for us (sometimes many hours), he kept is smile…This removed a lot of stress on us because it was the first time we travelled with a driver ! Agund was a real mother for us! ….helping us to dress correctly to go to temples. Agung has been our driver for a total of 6 days.

The Balineses people are very kind and the island of Bali is fabulous.
My wife and me, we recommend to anyone the Studio Ubud and, of course,ay trips with Agund.

My husband and I spent about four months in Bali, travelling around mostly for surf. Our 'home base' was on the south Bukit, where we stayed most of the time, but we wanted to visit Ubud for a few days.

We fell in LOVE with this studio. The price was just right and the best part, was that is was nice and clean with modern amenities --- not run down, like most places you might find in Bali. The owner was very accommodating in booking us in at the last minute, as we were travelling around. The house manager, was very friendly, as was the woman who came every morning to clean the studio. We felt very safe and welcome, and it was a nice little secret haven from the hustle and bustle.

We loved the studio so much that we decided to reserve it again toward the last leg of our trip, and we loved every minute. It is very convenient to the center of Ubud (shopping, restaurants, art museums, etc). And one day, we hired the driver, to show us around the outside surrounding areas of Ubud.

I was very sad when we had to leave...it is a beautiful, quiet location, with the infinity pool right next to the rice fields...it is just gorgeous at night with the stars and moonlight. I highly recommend this lovely studio, and I hope to come back someday!!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Exceeded all Expectations....

I am writing this review in the last hours of our weeklong stay in the lower unit of the Studio Ubud. We had a fantastic time here. The apartment is very comfortable felt like home. The yard is very private and we enjoyed many hours reading and relaxing. The fan in the main area was all we needed in the daytime and at night the bedroom was nicely air conditioned. The apartment was very, very clean and someone came each day for cleaning and towels. A lovely modern bathroom and a functional kitchen completes the story.A modern, well stocked grocery store is a very short walk away and we were able to cook a number of meals while here. As well, we also enjoyed very reasonably priced breakfasts at the Toko-Toko restaurant that is basically in the same compound. The pool is lovely and just outside our doors - we were there every day! We also hired the driver suggested by the unit's owner - Agung. He took us to many of the interesting areas to see around Bali. Agung was so nice to us, provided a lot of information and showed us so many parts of Bali. We did 2 one day trips and I would certainly recommend doing this kind of tour. The pictures in the listing are pretty much as the area looks but I actually think that the reality here is much better than these pictures or others I have taken .We are sorry to be leaving and will be back if at all possible. I would not hesitate recommending this unit to anyone visiting the Ubud area.

We are coming back!

First, we very much like The Studios and we had a good day tour yesterday with Agung. We will be going again tomorrow! We also would love to come back in two weeks after our Thailand trip.... What a lovely time we had!

Dear The Studios Ubud team,
Just returned from Bali and I have to say what a lovely time we had at your studio!
Just to walk to the swimming pool, have a swim in the early morning and lok over those beautiful ricefields alone...
A wonderful place, Bali, the people, the landscape, well, I suppose we loved everything about it!
Also your personal guide which we printed out was quite handy so thank you for that too!
We are really considering (though it is a long time away) to return in January 2014 so who knows...
We will keep your address and let you know as soon as possible.
