A quaint and spacious oak-beamed cottage with large terraces, gardens and plenty of parking space in a rural village. Suitable for up to 7 people. Gas and electric heating throughout. Books, board games, DVDs & videos provided.
Ground Floor: Fully-equipped kitchen next to dining area and through to sitting area with UK satellite/video/DVD TV and music centre. Shower room (include double vanity unit, toilet and washing machine). Hall and second toilet. Large king-size double bedroom.
First Floor: Landing, large twin bedroom, small twin bedroom and a single bedroom with video TV, suitable for a games console.
Outside: Patio tables and barbecue. 3 bicycles in the shed.
The village is situated in a farming valley, close to forests with signposted walks. A large wine merchants in village. There's a traveling baker and grocer. It's 5 miles from the small town of Hesdin for supermarkets, bars, restaurants etc
There's a great Bar/Brasserie in the village (200 yds) and 2 other Bar/Brasseries about 1 mile away
Travel Information: By car, it's only an hour from the Calais ports or Boulogne.
Full directions are provided before you travel and local maps can be found in on of the drawers at the cottage.
One key to the front door will be posted to you in advance.
There is a spare key available, so your party can split into groups but still get back inside.
Note that in France the supermarkets no longer give out plastic carrier bags. Take a couple of shopping bags with you when you go to the shops.
Sports Equipment: There are 3 ladies' bicycles in the shed, but only one helmet. A puncture repair kit and pump are included.
Two sets of golf clubs (and a spare bag, to make a third, reduced set) are available at no extra cost ( please replace any balls etc).
Barbecue: Some charcoal and wood should be under the barbie. Please replace with same, if used.
Suitability: Pets are welcome at no extra charge. Smoking is permitted, preferably outdoors !
Wheelchair use is possible, as there's no steps, a ground floor bedroom, a shower with an integral moulded seat but there's no special equipment (grab rails etc).
