Spacious modern villa in peaceful, rural area but less than 1 hour from beaches.

Les Lavandes near Lorgues. Recently built, spacious villa in immaculate condition, set at the end of a quiet country lane and is perfect for 'al fresco' living. Ideally situated for a relaxing holiday yet also within easy reach of beaches, mountains and sightseeing.

Quiet, peaceful and secluded but by no means isolated, the accommodation is on the ground floor and terracotta tiled throughout. The kitchen with breakfast bar opens onto the dining area and lounge, with comfy sofas, coffee table, HDTV, Blu-ray/DVD player and English freesat channels and doors leading to the south facing terrace. There are two double bedrooms plus a third with bunkbeds, all with doors leading to the outside. The large shower room has double sinks and WC. There is a utility room with washing machine off the kitchen and also a separate WC accessed from the open hallway. We are also pleased to announce that a second bathroom is now available on the first floor with shower, bathtub, two sinks and WC.

The dining room has sliding doors leading to a large covered terrace which overlooks the garden with steps down to the large private swimming pool.

As the villa was only recently built, the garden is still maturing. The garden is planted with lavenders, cypress trees and olive trees, which will provide a natural shady place to sit in the heat of the day.

Please remember to bring your own pool and beach towels.

The hamlet of Les Mauniers is situated in an idyllic valley where very little happens. Les Lavandes sits in the middle of typical Provencal countryside surrounded by olives and vines and within a short walk of the River Argens with just a few similar properties dotted around.

The nearest shops/restaurants are at Le Thoronet (4km) but the town of Lorgues (6km) offers a wider choice with 3 supermarkets, numerous restaurants and cafes and its hugely popular weekly market on Tuesdays. The 12th century abbey at Le Thoronet is within an easy 10 minute drive and further afield are the Gorges du Verdon and the Lac de Ste Croix.

The nearest beaches are at St Raphael and St Tropez, which are within a 45/60 min drive, plus our favourite, at Cavalaire sur Mer, which is a bit further.

Within a short distance there are also several beautiful medieval hilltop villages, such as Tourtour, a wonderful cascading waterfall at Sillans La Cascade and of course, the villa is also situated in the middle of the Cotes de Provence wine route.

Refundable Damage Deposit €500.00
A deposit of 25% of the full rental cost must be made at the time of booking in order to secure the property. The balance must be paid 45 days before the scheduled arrival date. In the event of a cancellation, funds will only be returned if another booking is obtained for the period.
A security deposit of 500 Euros is also payable 45 days before arrival which will be refunded after departure.
Notes Linen, bathroom towels, gas and electric are included in the price.
The villa is cleaned at the end of each rental period. If a mid-stay clean in required, including change of linen, this can be arranged locally with the House Manager.
A mid-week arrival or departure or rentals of less than a week may be possible out of peak season subject to availability. Please enquire.

  • All bedrooms feature large mirrored wardrobes, with plenty of storage space. Bedroom 1 (16m2) and bedroom 2 (14m2) have large wrought iron double beds, bedside tables etc and double doors leading outside. Bedroom 3 (11m2) has single bunk beds, double doors leading to south facing garden and is ideal for children although the beds are big enough for adults too. All bedrooms have a fan.

Notes:
Wi-fi internet access is available free of charge and there are English freesat channels available. Please note you cannot pick up any other language TV channels apart from English. There is also a Blu-ray/DVD player and a dock suitable for ipods and iphones. The swimming pool is available between mid May to end September and has an alarm. Outside this period, the pool will be covered. Please also note that the pool is 2m deep at the deep end and becomes deep quite suddenly due to there being a step about 1/3 of the way along, so young children must be supervised at all times.
