MICKEY2, 2 BED VILLA, POOL, CYPRUS HOSPITALITY, FREE CAR,FREE TRANSFER

We have just arrived back from the Mickey 2 Villa and can only say how delighted we were with everything from the friendly owner Nicos to the location of the Villa.
We were greeted upon arrival at Larnaca by Nicos and whisked off in air conditioned BMW comfort to Pernera where the villa is located and given a tour of the area. Pernera itself is about 1.5km of bars,shops restaurants and has everything you could need right on your doorstep. We found it to be friendly and reasonably priced with several beaches to visit including water sports and boat tours. Expect to pay about 3 euro for a large beer and between 9 and 16 euro for a good meal.
Nicos then took us a couple of KMs down the coast to Protaras that is probably three times the size of Pernera and has much more going on. I would describe it as a mini Ayia Napa but much more accepting of thirty somethings and great for families.
We then arrived at the villa (about 40 mins from Larnaca airport) and found a fridge stocked with essentials and a home cooked meal ready for the oven. The pool was to the rear and there was plenty of space for sunbathing if that's your thing plus a patio area where we spent most nights. Downstairs there is a small kitchen area with washing machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle. This is adjacent to a large dining area and then onto an air conditioned seating area with satellite tv (Al Jazeera sports included for the football), DVD player and a large screen TV. You will also find the first of three bathrooms before ascending upstairs.
On the first floor of the villa there are two spacious bedrooms both air conditioned and both with balconies. Plenty of storage can be found in each with en suite toilet and shower in the master room and a safe for valuables. There is also a house bathroom upstairs with a bath which is useful for the little ones.
If this wasn't enough we were also given use of a car (3 door Mazda) to get us around. Though basic the car had air con and got us around without issue, in fact I kind of fell in love with its character and we affectionately named him "Dappy" due to his registration DAP177.
When our holiday was sadly over Nicos kindly drove us the 40 mins back to the airport for half the price a taxi would have been again going the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect.
Would I stay again? Yes... I'm already checking flights out for next year. Thanks again Nicos!

For the second year running we have stayed in one of Nikos' villas ...and to be completely honest we stayed for six weeks and it only seemed like two because we enjoyed it so much . There isn't a lot more I can say that I didn't say on my review from last year ...although we did have better weather this year ...Nikos and his wife Rena made us very welcome as usual ,and the homemade food again was delicious. We did this year made use of the bikes that Nikos supplies , and it was quite invigorating,considering I hadn't ridden a bike in some fifteen years ....so to sum up our second holiday in the villa ....excellent on all fronts ...from the time Nikos picked us up at larnaca airport till the time he drove us back ...we had a ball ....It must be good as we have already booked to go back again next year ....Thanks again Nikos and Rena ......Tony and Jane (Padstow)

Two of us stayed in mickey2 for one week mid October, it really was a fantastic week. From the moment we booked Nikos was very helpful and quick to reply to any questions that we had. He went out of his way to send us maps and directions of how to get across the island to his apartment.

We arrived in th early hours and were so happy with the apartment once that we got inside. Inside it actually seemed bigger than the pictures, very clean, a family or four adults would easily have enough room staying here for a week. Nikos had kindly stocked the fridge so we were able to celebrate our arrival with a glass of wine. On our first day Nikos came to visit answered our questions and left us a traditional meal cooked by his wife, was superb and kept us going for days.


In the morning we checked out the pool, great sun trap had the sun all day very private. There is an alleyway running along the back of the garden which leads to the town/beach but only saw a few people go past all day. The rest of the appartment More than met our expectations, comfy beds, plenty of towels, all kitchen utensils we could need, tv with so many channels, wi if, comfy sunbeds, really had no faults.

Location wise was perfect, quiet both day and night whilst only a 5min walk to restaurants bars and the beach. We explored both sides of town there are many different restaurants/bars around. Pernera itself was great not rowdy at all, as you walked long the coast either way you would come across lively bars.

We had a fab week thank you Nikos, and plan to return next year!!
