Fabulous affordable two bedroom Paris apartment in buzzing arrondissement.

We had a great time in Paris and found the flat in a good location for visiting the sights. The local shops were excellent and we enjoyed a meal at the Lebanese restaurant Bistrot Beirut on our final night.

My wife and I had the mezzos for two, which we had to share with the whole table, as there was so much, with an additional plate of sweets 'on the house' being brought with our coffees. I would certainly recommend the restaurant as something a little bit different and enjoyable.

This lovely, bright apartment, close to the Place de la Bastille, provides a wonderful sense of living in Paris.

We are a family of four, and all agreed that its location offered something for everybody, from convenient parks for venturing out with little ones to easy routes into central Paris for the young people in our own family, keen to explore. There are several metro stations, and also bus stops, within walking distance, so public transport is easy to negotiate.


There’s plenty to explore nearby, too. The apartment is in a buzzing, friendly neighbourhood, with plenty of shops and supermarkets within easy reach, as well as a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars. A busy little supermarket at the end of the street is well worth a visit, and there’s another less than ten minutes’ walk away which has everything you need for self- catering. We also found the local patisseries excellent.

There are travel guides in the apartment, some a little out of date but nevertheless all very useful and a thoughtful touch, together with a file of previous residents’ suggestions on local facilities and activities.

It is clear that the owners take great care to maintain the apartment, which is clean, simple and, above all, welcoming, a relaxing home from home.

The kitchen facilities are good, all as described, and the dining and living spaces are large, comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Both of the bedrooms are a good size, and we also used the sofa-bed in the living room, which we found more than adequate.

Booking was straightforward. The owners were pleasant and helpful, and arrival and departure arrangements were managed simply and efficiently. Most of the questions we might have had were answered in the comprehensive information pack they provided, and others were replied to promptly by email and telephone.

We really couldn’t have wished for better customer service, or for a more positive introduction to Paris.
