Very nice sport for athletes

This roomy apartment was brilliant for us. We went to Viareggio for a training camp (running) and both the green park and the pine wood were very close and easy for us to reach. We needed both the washing machine and the dishwasher and both worked perfectly. The apartment is light and the bathrooms are beautiful. The kitchen is maybe a little bit small (the kitchen table is a little bit small), but the dining table in the living room was big enough for eight people (at least). Francesca and her helper Anna were helpful and trusworthy.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers

Perfect location for family-vacation in Viareggio

We stayed at the apartment for two weeks in June 2012 with 2 adults and 3 little children. The apartment proved to be an excellent location:

- It is centrally located: two minutes to the beach, café/bakery/supermarket/restaurant just around the corner, railway station within walking distance.
- It is spacious, well equipped and nicely furnished: many beds, dishwasher, washing machine, modern and well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms.
- It is light and sunny.
- It was very clean and in a well-run house where we could leave the baby stroller in the entrance area.
- The contact with the owner was friendly and Francesca provided us with helpful information before and during our stay.
Hence, the apartment was the perfect foundation for a great holiday in beautiful Viareggio. And yes, we will absolutely return to Viareggio and would love to stay again in this apartment.

The location was very good. In the future the property owners should tell their guests that parking is available on pay basis, if you are lucky enough to find it, and not have to drive around for 2-1/2 hrs for a space. Owners should be up front and honest with guests. We were told the rental was on second floor, when in fact it was on the 4th. Had to walk up 4 flights of stairs whenever we needed to go out. Overall the apartment was very good, location was very good, just the fact of the 4 flights of stairs and the parking fiasco we woul not rent it again.

great apartment...........BUT!

My wife and I and two friends booked this apartment for the first week in June this year. Let me say at the outset that this apartment is a great facility in an equally good location. What disappointed us was the unclean state the apartment was in on our arrival, and what became obvious was that it had not been properly cleaned for a long time. Also the kitchen was very poorly equipped, with a mixture of cutlery and crockery and there wasn't a set of wine glasses The bedroom linen was shabby and we had to use a bedcover for sheets in one of the bedrooms. We also had a problem on our arrival getting access at the agreed entry time, and had to hang around for an hour before we got in.We were all very disappointed to find the apartment in the condition it was in and so poorly equipped, and hope that Fransesca deals with these issues. Let me finish by saying that we did not allow these problems to spoil our holiday,and that we had a teriffic time in beautiful Viareggio and will most certainly be back. Unfortunatly I was not in Viareggio at this time: and from your words I understand that Noemi,in charge of the apartment, was not the best.
She is asking me why did you not tell her about the bad cleaning at your arriving and she would clean again.
For this:
Looking at your contract I definetly send you back the sum you gave her for the cleaning. € 65 of which I keep the receipt of my Bank.on July 31
And I was obliged to chang help:now Anna is in charge of the apartment and she is perfect.

We've been staying in Francesca's apartment for two weeks in July 2011. We've travelled in two families with a four-year old and a teenager, and the flat's lay-out was ideal for us. It is a really big and airy apartment perfectly suitable for those travelling in big companies but willing to keep privacy at the same time.

It is also ideally located to enjoy the beach and Viareggio resort feel. The description of the apartment is absolutely accurate and up-to-date. I would only like to add that if you are travelling with heavy luggage it's better to use an elevator taking you directly to the back entrance of the flat.

We chose not to rent a car because of parking problems in major Toscana towns but were absolutely happy to travel by train to Piza, Pietrasanta, Lucca and Florence. The train connections are extremely convenient and easy.

Wi-fi is not available in the flat but I used Hotel Vittoria services (3 Euro per day) 100 meters down Amerigo Vespucci Street, right opposite the Park entrance. Tha park is huge by the way, with a lot of attractions for kids, and my son was just happy to spend afternoons there.

I had an excellent communication with Francesca both before and during the trip. She is a very reliable and warm person and very accurate in her replies. She provided a lot of helpful comments on how to better organise our stay and sightseeing. Francesca is not staying in Viareggio but Anny, her help, is a very sweet lady with whom it was no problem to communicate though she didn't speak English, neither me Italian:).

I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who decide to relax in this beautiful resort area.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
