The house has retained many of its period features and is tastefully decorated with the mixture of antique and modern furniture. It is very light and thoughtfully arranged.
The owner is a gourmet cook, so the kitchen has every device and appliance. There is an American style BBQ gas grill in its own outdoor area. There are 3 double bedrooms one of which has twin beds which can also be joined to make a king sized bed. The sitting room also has an 'L' shaped sofabed which can convert into a double bed if needed. There are three bathrooms, one of which is en suite. The upstairs terrace seats 8 and is very sunny.
Georgian Townhouse in Knightsbridge, central London. Moments from Harrods's in one direction and Hyde Park in another. Surrounded by some of London's top restaurants. There is also a local family Pizza Express and lower cost restaurants.
This rare central London house has four double bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is in an area known as Knightsbridge Village with period houses from 1800 which have a conservation order on them so that the area keeps its genuine period atmosphere.
For sightseers and shoppers Knightsbridge is the centre of luxury shopping with all the main designers' shops in Sloane Street, 5 minutes walk away as well as Harvey Nichols and Harrods less than 2 minutes from the house. King's Road is a 10 minute walk or five minute bus ride away or if you are looking for more general high street shopping there is Kensington High Street 7 minutes bus ride away or Oxford Street with the famous Selfridge's department store 10 minutes busride ( or a lovely 25 minute walk across the park) in the other direction.
West End theatres, Covent Garden, the Royal Opera House, are a ten minute bus ride away.
The Victoria & Albert Museum, National History Museum and Science Museum are less than 5 minutes walk away and the Royal Academy and Tate art Galleries a short taxi or bus ride from this lovely house.
Buckingham Palace is a 10 minute walk away and another 10 minutes further you will arrive at Trafalgar Square or the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
This really is the best part of London to be based for a combination of being central to all the attractions yet with the old London atmosphere.
