Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Tivat - Fisherman's Cottage
2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 4, two man kayak
Wake up each morning to the sound of waves lapping on the romantic bay-front terrace! From the ancient flagstones on the jetty out front to the well-worn stairs winding down to the front door and the utterly wonderful waterside location, the Fisherman’s Cottage charms at every turn.
Located directly on the sea front in the tiny fishing village of Kakrc, the secluded stone cottage abounds with traditional character. The location, on the north side of the lush, forested Lustica Peninsula, is known for its exceptionally clear sea water, fed by fresh springs from the surrounding uplands.
The village of Kakrc, with no more than 300 souls even in summer, consists of rustic stone buildings nestled around their own small inlet. A larger village, Krasici, is conveniently close by for picking up essentials.
From the outdoor seating of your relaxing terrace, perfect for al fresco dinning, you can watch the ships ply the Vertiges or gaze across the water to the Island of Flowers (OstrvoCvijeca), where a widowed countess founded the nineteenth-century convent. Herceg Novi, a medieval trading town turned modern artists’ colony, also lies across the straight from the cottage. If you fancy enjoying the calm waters of the bay you can use the two man kayak available in the property.
The Lustica Peninsula, while still unspoilt and natural, is only a short drive from the modern town of Tivat and the new marina and shopping arcade of Porto Montenegro. From there, a leisurely route along the winding seafront – or if you prefer, the quicker tunnel through the mountains – takes you to the walled city of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With one double-bedroom and one children's bunk bed-bedroom, Fisherman’s Cottage is perhaps best enjoyed by a couple seeking a romantic getaway.

We grew to really like the cottage after the initial shock! The swimming was fantastic and we appreciated the quiet location.
I’ve worked in the travel industry for a few years now and have been living in Herceg Novi, Montenegro for the past 12 months. My favourite properties are the ones high in the hills, in secluded locations with great views of the sea.
My company Explore Montenegro contracted this property because of the unique, peaceful waterfront location and rustic charm. It's a lovely, cosy getaway.
This property is a great place to get away from it all and just enjoy the sound of the sea lapping against the stones. To make this property even more special we have supplied a 2-man kayak so you can spend a lazy afternoon bobbing on the water or exploring the coast of Lustica Peninsula
