One double and one twin, sitting/dining room with French windows giving onto large balcony with beautiful views. Fully equipped fitted kitchen, large bathroom with bath/shower and toilet. Entrance hall by front door leading to outside dining area in garden by the front and the side of the apartment with BBQ area. There is secure parking on this gated property. Shared use of solar heated swimming pool, all set in a closed garden of about one acre with fruit and olive trees. French and English spoken.

We retired to the South of France after living and working in South East Asia for over 35 years. Born in England and France, both of us had been expatriates for most of our lives.

Denise & David Marchington purchased this apartment in 1991

We wanted to live away from cold northern winters. Fayence appealed because we have friends in the area and we bought the house because of its location near to the village and the magnificent views towards the mountains to the north and west. We love the area.

The view with the constantly changing colours and light, the quietness and the convenience. We love to sit by the pool on a summer's evening, sipping a glass of local rosé and watching the colours change as the sun goes down.

WONDERFUL SETTING, APARTMENT AND HOSTS.

Our family of three spent ten wonderful nights at Les Chimenees in late summer 2013. We found what, for us, was the perfect balance; wonderful views, fantastic pool, a rural setting yet with walkable ameneties, fine food and drink close at hand, privacy, much of interest locally and the best of the Cote d'azur within striking distance.

The apartment is very comfortable and has excellent facilities. The kitchen is well stocked, the pool equipment superb, while there are plenty of little touches such as picnic gear which you don't often find elsewhere. The pool and poolside are well designed and maintained and a very pleasant spot to while away a few hours.

David and Denise were the perfect hosts, welcoming and helpful, respectful and accommodating. They are full of local knowledge, and are great company over a game of boule, but beware, Denise is a deadly shot,

We would certainly recommend Les Chimenees. A fine base away from the chaos of the coast, but close enough to dip in at your leisure.

A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN

As the title suggests we truly felt we had found a little piece of heaven with this wonderful apartment in its truly delightful and peaceful setting.
The apartment was very well equipped, has WIFI ( a must for the kids) and English TV. The pool facilities, the apartment balcony and the BBQ area have stunning views across the surrounding countryside.
It is within easy walking,distance of the local village of Fayence which has many restaurants and a local market three times a week.
A car would be recommended to explore further afield as there is so much to see and do. We made several trips to the lake where we took a picnic and hired a pedalo for 3 hours or more and enjoyed a lazy afternoon on the crystal clear waters of the lake. We made trips to St Tropez and Nice and a day at the beach at St Agulf. We even spent a few enjoyable hours in a glider at the local gliding school.
The owners of the apartment David and Denise were superb hosts and made us feel very welcome and gave us invaluable information about the local area (and wine!) to make the most out of our visit.
Truly a holiday to remember.

APARTMENT, TOWN AND HOSTS TO BE RECOMMENDED!

This is certainly an apartment we would recommend!

We are a family with two small children and lived here for three weeks this summer. In addition, we received a visit from grandparents for a week, when they lived with us here. This was three fantastic weeks.

Fayence is a beautiful little village with beautiful surroundings. Several really nice restaurants nearby (some of them are recommended in the Michelin guide), close to the beach both at the local lake and the Riviera and other excursions. This flat is also a short walk to the town center with shops, bars, restaurants, markets, etc., which also makes it very easy to go out for dinner with kids at the evenings.

In addition, it has a great pool area that is perfect for both children and adults, lawns for various activities, loungers, barbecue and own boule court:-) That means it's great to be here during the day the whole family. The apartment is well equipped with everything a family needs.

We also wish to thank the familiy and hosts for fantastic hospitality. They are so helpful with everything you need and made our holiday in Fayence a wonderful stay.

We really hope that we can come back next year, to visit them and Fayence.

A TRUE RESTINGPLACE

A Sanctuary,
Our family of four ( two adults and two boys aged 10 and 13) have just returned from Fayence . We would definitely like to return.
The apartment is well equipped with good beds , a proper bathroom, a well equipped kitchen and a wonderful balcony for outside meals and evening drinks. Modern facilities like satellite (ENG/FR) and high speed Wi-Fi works well. The fact that the apartment is part of the house is not a concern as no sounds are heard between the units.
With a wonderful pool area, situated in the middle of a one acre garden, you are guaranteed peace and quiet even though the house is situated just a few minutes walk from the center of Fayence.
All required shops and restaurants are in fact in walking distance from the house, but a car is advisable in order to reach larger stores for a greater variety of food and other purchases. The area is excellent for early morning walks, but be prepared for steep hillsides. Strolling through the narrow clean streets of Fayence you have a good blend of shops for tourists, bars and restaurants all situated within a village that bring you back to medieval times.
Thanks to the owners on site presence, you have a fully serviced local tourist information when required and they will always fix anything related to the apartment and facilities available to you on the premises.

A true resting place – a Sanctuary.

Gliding from the internationally renowned centre, horse riding and golf are also available and the towns of Cannes, Nice, Monte Carlo and St. Tropez are all within easy distance. For the keen walkers the dramatic Gorges du Verdon are also within easy reach.
