This elegant apartment block. primarily Spanish and British owner occupied, is located on a hillside facing South and overlooking a secluded beach with a select beach cafe/ restaurant..equipped with WIFI and loungers. The beach is renowned for mostly still waters and snorkelling and scuba diving. It is entirely safe for children and has a paddle boat /kayak rental facility in the summer months. The marina is 5 minutes walk (or drive) and has several good restaurants, a small supermarket, pizzeria, divng centre etc. Nearby La Herradura village with its beautiful horse shoe bay has bakeries, supermarkets, local daily mrket, banks and shops and the open beach can make a nice change. There are several attractive coves along the coast in both directions. For walkers and nature lovers we recommend fine walking areas on little used local roads or tracks in the hills behind the resort area, ideally for evening walks to see the magnificent sunsets and coastal/mountain views, and capra hispanica if you are lucky.
Almuñecar, 10 minutes drive, is an old moorish town with its castle, Roman remains, typical quarter with botanical gardens and boutiques, tapa bars and restaurants. The modern part has several family attractions including a waterpark, aquarium, parrot park, a big weekly flea market and 3 large supermarkets. A long modern promenade is good for family evening excursions and beach restaurants.
A little further on is lovely Salobreña, perched on a rocky outcrop with its own attractions, especially an excursiont to the castle top and floodlit explanade winding one's way along flower decked old moorish style narrow streets. To the West, 10 minutes drive on the motorway lie Nerja and Frigiliana, a typical moorish white hillside village.
