Pen-Y-Bryn is the top part of a converted family home recently updated for holiday use, with easy access by road, 2 parking spaces, with stunning views of the town itself, Looe River and Looe Island.

It has two double bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen/Diner and a lounge, both with views out to sea and the town. Modern quality furniture and soft furnishings within comfortable surroundings.

There is also a balcony where you can sit, relax and enjoy the views of the Cornish Countryside, sea, river and watch the fantastic sunset.

The self-contained apartment is set in the heart of East Looe - ideally situated overlooking both the English Channel with the famous Looe Island in full view, and Looe River. The property is a short, 10-minute walk, from the sandy beach, historic harbour, cafes and restaurants.

This coastal location in South-East Cornwall is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to escape from everyday working life.

The property sleeps up to 4 adults, a cot is also available for young children, and is ideal for family holidays, couples and small groups.

A short distance from superb local attractions such as Eden Project, all of Cornwall's famous Gardens, such as Lost Garden of Heligan, and beautiful stately homes.

Looe Golf club, country/coastal walks along with various smaller beaches are all within a short distance.

Highly recommended!

We had a super stay in Cornwall. Brian and Pat couldn't have been more helpful and the view from the accommodation was simply stunning. Yes, it is a pretty steep walk from the town, but it would have to be to get views like that of the harbour, town and out to sea....worth every step and over pretty quickly! Pen y Bryn was like a home from home, everything you could want or need with a lovely little terrace to eat your fish and chips whilst watching the boats come into harbour.We were well placed to visit the attractions of Eden, Heligan and Tintagel, all an easy drive away. There are so many quaint quintessentially Cornish fishing villages nearby, but Looe was definitely the best! Would recommend the fish restaurant @trawlers on the quayside - and of course Sarah's pasties.....the best in all Cornwall, I reckon! Thank you Pat and Brian, we have very happy memories of our few days away and look forward to seeing you again one day!

Fantastic views, Great Property.

This property has some of the most stunning views in Cornwall, taking in the Sea, Looe Island, the river and the overall town of Looe.
It is a sizeable property with plenty of room in both bedroom, and comfortable lounge with the same stunning views and and sizeable kitchen if you want to do any catering etc. Location wise it is a 5 minute walk down to the town centre and beach, so great for walking around and visiting the local shops,pubs and there are plenty of lovely places to eat close by.
I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Cornwall and Looe in particular.
Road access is extremely easy, especially compared to some places, and this makes it easy to drive around as well.
Pat and Brian are very friendly hosts, we will be back.

Lovely place to relax

Lovely hosts and a great place to stay. The pictures don't do justice to the apartment. Immaculately clean with everything you need for a home from home. Positioned at the top of a very steep hill so we definitely got some exercise. Taxis cheap enough for those occasions we didn't feel up to it. In any case, the hill is worth it for the view when you reach the apartment. Would certainly stay here again. Ideally placed for a lovely family break.

Perfect Place To Relax And Start Conwall Trips

Our family (2 adults, 2 boys: 9 and 13 years) had chosen the Pen-y-Bryn for one week as our home base for some calm relaxing, after coming over from one andventurous (and power-consuming) week at London. We had decided to book it, because
1) it is located in a really beautiful town which has a good mixture of touristic facilities and „original“ land & people.
2) it has an extra sleeping room for our boys (i.e. not inside the living room) with 2 single beds
3) It promised to have a beautiful view from the house
4) It is equipped with a complete kitchen and looked well arranged.

After arriving there, we quickly realized that it would overfullfill our expectations by far:

- Pat and Brian welcomed us heartfully, supported us repeatedly e.g. with helpful hints about town and surroundings, and made us feel at home instantly.
- The flat (ground floor from the street) and the included items all were in top condition without exception
- The view over Looe from the living room, kitchen, balcony and the second sleeping room was even better than shown on the pictures of the exposèe – you have full sight of the Looe water mouth to the sea, over large parts of the harbour, and even towards the joint of both East- and West Looe rivers.
- Surrounding was really quiet, and the house was easily accessible by car and foot; parking place for the car was also good; we could walk down into Looe's town center in less than 10 minutes
- A small Spar market is located less than 5 minutes per foot up the hill, which will cover at least the basic needs for self supply.
- While Looe itself really is a marvellous little town, also the neighbour towns and the whole area had us spend some really inspiring days there. Big recommendations to visit the Monkey Sanctuary (by a really beautiful long-walk along the coast line), Polperro, and the Eden Project.
- We also have been lucky and had a few days with hot weather for going to the Looe beach and for a swim (of course you will need to be familiar with the typical freshness of the water there, if you are used to Mediterranean beach holidays or such ;-) ). Looe beach is not very big, but it is tidy and more than ok for one or another day.

For what we expect for a family holiday, this has been a perfect fit.

Lets start at the beginning:
Booking easy, communication excellent, questions and queries answered promptly.

Arrival: Easy to find with directions sent, lovely warm welcome on arrival by Brian and Pat.

Accommodation: great layout, very clean everything you need for your stay, nice touches like, milk, coffee tea, board games, DVD and Good WiFi. Walking distance to town down steep hill, good exercise but I guess would be hard work with pushchair. Nice area to sit outside and enjoy the excellent views and sun set over a glass or two. Very peaceful area.

Would definitely book again when we decide to return to Looe. Thanks again Brian and Pat

Good clean well looked after property.

This is a lovely clean and well looked after property with adequate room for four people. It has spectacular views from the apartment. Most windows look across to the sea and river estuary. It is lovely to look down watch the world go bye. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed in all rooms. It is in a very quiet area above the river. We were welcomed by Brian and Pat on arrival and made to feel at home very quickly.
We both feel better in health after a relaxing weeks stay and look forward to another in the future.
