Villa Ricardo - A luxury villa with HEATED POOL and magnificent SEA VIEWS!

The Villa Ricardo is a charming villa located in a beautiful slope above the entrance of Porto da Cruz.

It is a large property with a high level comfortable accommodation in a quiet location, has several terraces enjoying uninterrupted panoramic sea view, and a subtropical garden of exotic fruit trees and small banana trees.

The property owner valued a stylish and friendly environment. The house has 3 double bedrooms, (with the possibility of an extra bed and cradle for baby), all with private bathroom (shower) and TVset. In the winter all the rooms are heated by a device that recovers the heat released by the fireplace, and automatically distributes it to the rooms.

The sitting-room is equipped with TVset, DVD, Stereo System, Computer, Internet WI-FI, Safety Deposit Box, WC, and the kitchen is fully equipped.

Outside you can enjoy the subtropical garden of exotic fruit trees, the heated pool and the sunbathing area with views to the ocean and to the Village. It's a truly magical and relaxing scenario!

In September, wine is made in Villa Ricardo, by a centennial traditional process and our guests are invited to participate in the making of wine!
There is also a historical wine cellar where guests are invited to taste our wines!!

Family one week holiday

Wonderful house with great terrace and swimming pool. We enjoyed relaxing on thevterrace, using the BBQ and dipping in and out of the pool.

Lovely stay June 2017

This is a lovely spacious villa in the pretty village of Porta da Cruz. It is very well looked after by the housekeeper who is very attentive during the stay and deals with any questions or minor issues. The bedrooms are all en-suite and there is even an outdoor hot and cold shower for after your dip in the pool. We ate our meals mostly on the upstairs patio which is suitably furnished with tables and chairs, overlooking the pool with its loungers and umbrellas. Banana and papaya trees and vines grow in the garden. The kitchen is quite small but adequately equipped. Unfortunately the TV receives no British channels but internet access is good. The village has a small shop and 5 restaurants (Pippa's is the best) and the supermarket in Santana in only a short drive away. This area is very good for accessing beautiful walks. Hope to return in future. Would highly recommend.

Villa Ricardo exceeded our expectations!

Villa Ricardo exceeded our expectations. The house is fantastic, very welcoming and very well maintained. The garden, the fruits, the flowers, the fantastic heated pool ... all together made us feel in paradise! Mrs. Rubina is a delightful person who helped us to make our vacation perfect! We strongly recommend Villa Ricardo, and certainly we will return!

Villa absolutely fabulous and very well cared.

The villa was absolutely fabulous and very well cared for; spotlessly clean throughout. The Villa owner and Mrs Rubina, the caretaker, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We loved Porto da Cruz as a location. Their contact with us prior to arrival was excellent. This was our first visit to Madeira and we thought the island beautiful. Although we didn't have the best weather, this didn't stop us getting around and seeing places. We would happily recommend the Villa Ricardo, and its fabulous heated pool with wonderful views, for all those who wish to relax in nature, in full contact with sea and mountain!
