Glavini estate has a main house with 5 double bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, designed to provide a quiet and relaxed stay. The property with an additional guest house is capable of accommodating up to 12 guests on a private site of over 25,000 m². The friendly service and high standards will best suit those seeking superior quality in an elegant, natural and tranquil setting.

Except for the functionality we have also tried to make Glavini aesthetically pleasing, while we haven’t changed the au­thentic look and feel of the place. In cooperation with nature and its best fruits, the property fits perfectly within the landscape far from the noise, traffic and crowd.

Glavini Estate is an impec­cable choice for the people desirous of a sincere coexistence with nature and tranquillity.

Cook and cleaning service are available at request. We can also provide massage and spa treatments.

Location: It is the perfect location for exploring the delights of Istria, the rest of Croatia, Slovenia (20 km) and Italy (30 km) as well as many tourist spots in the surrounding area.

The property is in sight of the town of Draguc, close to Buzet (12 km), Motovun (12 km) and just 35 km from the sea in any direction (north Trieste, west Porec, Novigrad or south Opatija, Rabac, Rijeka). It sits nestled in a landscape of gentle, rolling hills, rich in Mediterranean flora.

Things to do: Things to do can be unique, refreshing, imaginative, surprising – Glavini Estate and Istria can offer all this and more. Whether you are looking from your holiday action, inspiration, relaxation or want to discover Istrian treasures and people do it your own way and these are just some suggestions.

In autumn we have truffles from nearby woods and it is possible to organise unique ‘truffle hunting’ experiences. In that period we also harvest grapes and olives with organic production of vine and cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. In winter from January to March we have unique traditional Istrian Carnival events, with rich entertainment program. The spring is reserved for picking the asparagus and other healthy herbal plants. The summer brings a plenty of choices from visiting the nearby sea resorts south, east and west from us or checking out some of many regional art and cultural festivals.

Estate: Kids are welcome. Guests can swim in our large 8x4 m pool, relax in the sauna or fitness room and enjoying a sweeping view of the landscape. There is also a kid’s playground, table tennis, badminton and bocce (closely related to the game of boules). If you are into cycling, we are in the right spot to access and visit all of Istria.

We have around 300 organically grown olive trees as well as 20 cherry, a dozen fig and many apple, peach, pear and plum trees, all organically produced along with our vegetables which are all at your disposal during your stay, depending on the season.

We believe that we are an integral part of the earth and nature and we use renewable energy as much as we can. The home is fitted with solar collectors with an under floor heating system, run using renewable energy. Water is collected from the roof, so as not to waste precious resources. We are also connected to a natural spring with drinkable fresh water.

Notes

  • The rental includes use of bed linen, bath towels, pool and garden maintenance and end of stay cleaning, however the cleaning of the BBQ or fireplace is the guests' responsibility.

    Upon booking a deposit of Euros 300 per week is required the balance is payable 2 months before the holiday date.

    Rental/changeover is from 1600h on Saturday until 1000h the following Saturday. The caretaker is happy to arrange additional cleaning during the stay if required.
  • Where the rental period does not consist of a full week, the rent is negotiable with the owner depending of the season, minimum stay is 3 days.

    We require a holding deposit of 300 euros which is returned on the end of the holiday/check out.

Fantastic villa in a quaint picturesque location

The villa in Buzet was absolutelly spot on for what we needed. Romantic old stone building, comfortable accommodation, swimming pool, traditional outdoor fireplace suitable for evening gatherings were just some of the highlights this property had to offer. Also, the abundance of local wine producers was an added benefit so we could sample the tasty Malvazija amongst other types as a perfect accompaniment to delicious dishes to be found all over Istria. The owners were extremely helpful and made us feel at home away from home.
Defintely would recommned this property to anyone wishing to spend a relaxing week in Istria looking for cultural and culinary explorations alike.

Vi var 3 familier der havde set frem til en dejlig ferie Kroatien.
Vores forventninger blev indfriet 100 %

Det skønne hus var dejligt indrettet med store soveværelser og badeværelser til alle.
Alt var velfungerende og godt indrettet. Rent og pænt alle steder.

Udenfor var der en fantastisk udsigt ud over dalen og olivenlunden.
Overdækket terasse og god stor pool, samt grill og legeplads.

Området var spændene og der var gode spisesteder samt gode lokale vingårde.

Alle vi talte med var super venlige og hjælpsomme.
Venlig og hjælpsom ejer der ville gøre alt for, at vi fik en rigtig god ferie og positive oplevelser med hjem.

Hyggelig landby, et dejligt sted og et land som vi håber at komme tilbage til.

The villa was excellent. Very clean and very well maintained. All cleaning products were provided. The owner met us personally and was very helpful and friendly.
The villa was very well equiped, and the pool was brilliant. Table tennis, badmington, balls & even water-guns were all avaiable for us to use!
The owners fresh produce was lovely - figs, onions, tomatoes, herbs, plums and bottles of wine were all there for us to help ourselves to at very little cost!

The views from the villa are magnificant and the local villages are lovely to visit.

The only down side is that it is rather off the beaten track, but if you plan your days out and your trips to the supermarket in advance, than this will cause no problems at all.

Overall, an excellent hoilday and one to be recommended. Thank you!!

Lovely relaxing week

We had a really lovely relaxing week. The villa was beautiful, very clean and well equipped. The views were amazing!
The villa owners were very helpful and accommodating, making us very welcome on arrival with a light lunch and wine and cordial provided for us after our journey - so thoughtful.
I would recommend this villa for a relaxing family break.
