Brand newly refurbished with new appliances. This modern first floor apartment is located on a quiet road, yet in the heart of the popular town Sliema near St. Julians and Paceville in Malta. Having a dining area for six persons, a sitting room (with sofa bed sleep two) and 90 cm LCD TV and internet or WiFi south facing, a kitchen equipped with a gas hob, and electric oven, microwave and all that is required. Two bedrooms (one double bed and one two single bed), full of natural sun light all day long as they are south facing, a bathroom and two open air balcony.

NICE APARTMENT

Nice apartment in a quiet area, but still not far away from the bus and ferry stations. Good supermarket close by. Sleeping room looks to the back of the house, therefore really quiet. The owner is a nice guy, pick up from and to the airport was organized just perfect and reliable. The apartment had everything we needed, some kitchen items including towels and soap. Good WiFi internet connection.

However, some small improvements could make the stay to be the perfect one:
Unfortunately, the towels as well as the bed linen smelled really mouldy, and even washing them in the washing machine did not help really. So maybe it is recommendable to take your own towels with you. For our feeling, the bed was much to hard, but that is maybe our personal problem. We did not get the TV to work, but as is was not important to us, we did not contact the owner who I assume would have helped us. The same is for the gas baking oven.

Overall, apart from the above mentioned trivia, a good place to stay and explore the city and the island for a good price.

Owner's Response: We are very sad that we were not told about these small discomforts as we would have done our very best to see to them. With regards to the bed linen and towels we make sure that they are washed before using them. But we could even changed them to brand new ones as we keep a stock of them.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

This was our first visit to Malta, 16 days of joy and wonder. We loved the appartment, its location and the fact that everything, one could want or need was there. Even salt and herbs in the cupboard. Or detergents for the washing mashine.
In december it can be a little chilly, but Mario - who was just as nice and helpful as the other reviewers have written - supplied us with an electric heater.
When we come back to these beautiful islands, we will certainly book with Mario again.

EXCELLENT BASE NEAR VALLETTA

Concerned that we would struggle to find the apartment with our hire car, Mario unexpectedly met us at the airport. That set the tone for our whole stay, as this inexpensive flat exceeded all our expectations. The location is excellent: a short walk to the Strand with the Valletta ferry in one direction or to Tower Road with fun swimming in the other. An excellent supermarket (Scott's) and bakery are very close, and there is a street market right outside the apartment building on some days. The flat is clean, comfortable and simply furnished, and our three kids loved the flatscreen television twice the size of our own. Mario couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable, and I can recommend this accommodation without reservation.

CLEAN AND SPACIOUS APARTMENT :)

We stayed with six friends in this apartment and had a great time! The rooms are just as big as shown on the pictures :) everything you need is available and the apartment is very clean. WiFi works very well. The provided towels are a nice extra :) few minutes walk to the supermarket and around 10 minutes to the harbour/sea. 30 minutes walk (or a 10 euro taxi ride) to st. Julians/ Paceville. The beds are really comfortable, only the sofabed is a little less comfortable as you can expect.. Lots of storage room in the closets, especially in the double bedroom, not so much in the living room (for the people sleeping on the sofabed). But probably one of the best and cheapest options in Sliema! Friendly owner lives nearby and is always reachable by phone. (although we didn't need to). We brought many things with us like washing-up liquid, soap, towels etc. but they were already provided, so ask before you go! Even with the windows open the apartment got pretty hot so we needed to use the aircon to get some sleep. (costs a few euros extra per week, depending on your use) But that might not be a surprise at the end of august..
conclusion: I would really recommend this place!!!! hard to find a comparable apartment for this price!

the house is in a good position because is near to the bus station for moving everywhere in Malta, and is near to all the market and shop of sliema.

BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY

We would definitively recommend to visit Malta, a wonderfull island with Gozo and Cumino and to stay in this property as well!
We were 4 adults and a 4years old boy and the apartment was perfect to us... clean, spacy, only few minutes from the ferry, and newly refurbishee: the listing description is very accurate.
The owner, Mario has been very helpfull and very nice: he came to the airport, waiting us when we rent a car and bring us to home.
He was always ready to offer advice (also for restaurants!) and assistance if you need it.
there was also a parking place for the car in front of the appartment
We recommended the appartment, and we sure return there if we will go to Malta again.

Sliema is a busy town located on a peninsula with views of Valletta and Floriana on one side and the open sea on the other. It is located fairly centrally on the Eastern side of Malta. It is a great place to shop, enjoy the cafe culture and eat out. It is also the place to catch the ferry to Valletta, buses to many places and also boat trips round the harbours and round the island. It is very close of St Julians and Paceville where you find the best night life of the island, more restaurants and other places of entertainment. Beautiful beaches and a 3 km sea promenade with seating, cafes, children's playgrounds, public gardens, fountains are amongst the few of the tourist attraction.
