Things to do in Tallinn, Estonia: 3 things to include on your visit to Tallinn, Estonia:1) Walk around the medieval Old Town and ideally choose Tallinn accommodation that is located here, as this is where all the main sites are. There are two distinct parts to the Old Town, one is built on a hill called Toompea and the other part is the Lower Town. 2) Town Hall Square: This will be just 2 minutes walk from your apartment. It is the social heart of the old town and is surrounded by impressive medieval buildings. There is nearly always something happening here, such as the traditional lively market, or one of Tallinn’s festivals or music performances. There are also many al fresco restaurants and bars around the town square. 3) Toompea Castle: Just a short walk from our Tallinn accommodation is this breathtaking 13th / 14th century medieval castle. The Estonian parliament is currently based here. Next to it you’ll see a pink Baroque palace dating from the time of Catherine the great. There are also great city views.
Best Tallinn restaurants: The 3 restaurants I like most in Tallinn: 1. Cafe VS – Indian food (address: Parnu mnt. 28) This is one of my favourite Tallinn restaurants. Great Indian food plus a good varied European menu. The restaurant has a trendy, stylish interior and the food very affordable. 2. Silk – Japanese food (address: Kullassepa 4)In my opinion the best sushi restaurant in Tallinn. It is quite expensive, but the quality of the food is outstanding. They have 3 restaurants with my favourite being the one just off of the old town main square. two min walk from our apartment. 3. Olde Hansa – Medieval (address: Vana turg 1) This in the Town Hall square, also two min walk from our apartment. Here you can experience a traditional medieval feast. With wooden benches, atmospheric candles, buxom serving wenches and jugs of honey beer. What ever kind of food you like, I can recommend somewhere, as I lived in Tallinn before moving to London and have been to most restaurants.
Best bars in Tallinn, Estonia: Here are my 3 top Tallinn bars: 1. Clayhills – (address: Pikk 13) This is on the same street as our apartment. It has a restaurant and a very friendly relaxed bar. There are sofas and arm chairs to sit in and it is a great place for a leisurely drink. 2. Hell Hunt – (address: Pikk 39) One of the liveliest bars in Tallinn, with a great outside area. Also on Pikk street, so just a minutes walk from the apartment. Given the happy atmosphere here, this is also a good place for a few drinks and something to eat before moving on to a nightclub. 3. Nimeta Bar / The Pub with no name – (address: Suur-Karja 4) If you want a traditional British pub, with good food, cheap beer and sports on the big screen TV's, this is the place for you. This is an easy walk from our old town Tallinn accommodation. If you want to know about the best night life, ask me when you get in contact.
We stayed in the apartment for 5 days and our stay had been very good. The apartment is big enough for the six of us and the location is excelent. I have to underline the treatment of the woman who gave us the key. She was very nice and kind and when I wrote her saying we had a problem with a tap, she was there the same afternoon, looking at the problem, and made it repair the same day!.
Some not important but thing to improve:
There are different apartment and the pictures of the web page don´t fit with our apartment, that looked smaller in the reality.
The dinning & kitchen. Even if we were six there were chairs for four and the kitchen is not very well furnished, a very small saucepan just to heat the milk, nothing to cook in the oven, not scissors...
If the kitchen was better equipped , everything will be fantastic, but even though it worth the money you pay.
Great apartment, great location and great value for money! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I’m very glad I chose this place. The apartment was very spacious and I loved the interior: wooden floors, designer furniture, and a beautiful comfy bed. They’ve managed to make the apartment very high spec and modern whilst still keeping the character of the medieval building. Stepping out of the front door into the cobbled streets of the old town added to whole experience. I really enjoyed my stay here and if I ever come back to Tallinn I’ll book the same place again.
I was recommended these Tallinn apartments by a friend of mine from Estonia. Luckily for me, she was able to go and view a few apartments around the old town and told me that the standards varied massively. She said she had found several places that would be suitable if I wanted ‘cheap and nasty!’ I said I would rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere nice! I ended up booking with Apartment Accommodation Tallinn and I was extremely happy with the apartment I stayed in. I was met by their Estonian accommodation manager who was a great help telling about all the things to do and see. The apartments are very big and done to a very high standard. This really is a beautiful place to stay and the location is perfect. I will certainly be recommending it to my friends.
Best Tallinn accommodation I’ve stayed in, out of my 5 trips there. The apartment is huge and they’ve done a top rate refurbishment job, plus of course you can’t beat the location in the centre of the old town. When I called their UK phone number to book, the woman spoke fluent English, was very helpful and able to answer all my questions. Then when I arrived in Tallinn I was met at the apartment and given the keys by a very helpful woman who gave me some great ideas of where to go out. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
On previously visits to Tallinn, I've stayed in a great apartment in a noisy location in the old town, a not very nice apartment in a great location, and had all kinds of fun trying to be understood by the apartment owners, so it was a relief to finally get it right and find a great apartment in a great location, with someone who I could actually talk with properly! I highly recommend this place and just wish I had found it on my first visit!

Golf: Estonian Golf & Country Club golf complex is made up of an 18-hole Championship Course built on the seaside and in a mature forest and a 9-hole British links style South Course with its renewed stone fences, junipers and nationally protected ancient sites. The Sea Course is a true championship golf course, spanning in excess of 6,500 metres (more than 7,000 yards). The course meanders its way through virgin forest all the way to the Baltic Sea coast and Jägala River. The rich natural landscape of forest pathways, ancient ice-age boulders, natural ponds, and sea views allowed the designer to create an unrivalled masterpiece in Eastern Europe – and a real challenge for all golfers. Locals say that when God created the coastal land of the Estonian Golf & Country Club, he must have intended it to be a golf course as it winds its way so harmoniously along the Baltic Coast and the Jägala River delta. Suuresta golf course: It was originally constructed in 2004, but the first nine holes have been reconstructed since then. In 2008 were another nine holes added and today the course consists of 18 holes. A nice and cosy club house with an inexpensive restaurant was opened in 2010, so Suuresta Golf Club today offers pretty much the same facilities as the other courses. Prices are lower here – green fees are around 35 € – but this does not mean that the course is very busy. Actually, during the high season is it very quiet here and it is easy to get a tee time.
