Wow, wow and wow! We have had a truly amazing holiday. Beautiful house, stunning scenery and good weather (always a bonus in Scotland). We visit Scotland twice a year and will be recommending you highly. Love from two very relaxed sets of friends.

Oak Tree House was perfect for a family reunion. Lots of space for all, including a wheelchair and a baby. We enjoyed the garden with lovely views and the big, well-equipped kitchen.
A peaceful place to return to after days exploring all there is to see nearby. The steam train from Aviemore was a highlight and baby Thomas enjoyed the early morning circular walks from the house over the Balvraid bridge.
Thanks Chris.

Lovely house & garden with loads of room.

Lovely house & garden with loads of room. Spent most of our time in the conservatory looking at garden & view. However, house is advertised as all the ground floor being wheelchair accessible. We have a 10 yr old in a wheelchair & found the front ramp narrow & uneven.. Although we managed to get her in & out ok, not sure if an adult or wider wheelchair would fit. The conservatory is fab, but we lifted our daughter in & out as the step is huge. Anyone in a wheelchair, their only access to conservatory is to go out the front door, round the entire house & in the patio door.. Then back again to get back in house... To do this you have to go over grass as the gravelled route has a large step..
House itself is lovely, great supply of all we needed..
Some garden furniture would also be nice..

Superb house in a superb location... Fantastic!

This property is probably one of the best houses we have stayed in! Absolutely no faults whatsoever. Superb landscaped garden with fantastic outlook over the hills and river. Brilliant bedrooms, cosy comfortable, very well maintained and clean. Off the beaten track but close enough to go north or south on the A9. Also great location to go east or west. Cannot recommend it enough.

A home from home only better!!

  • 5 out of 5
This was an immaculate and well equipped house. Perfect for our family of five (including two teenage boys who are not easily pleased) together with my father of 89 who has limited mobility. The location made an excellent base for all the highlights of the highlands and local facilities were enough for our needs (especially the fish and chip van on a Tuesday evening). The owner was extremely helpful and we never felt a nuisance when we asked questions. There were no hidden costs even when we needed additional heating for my dad. I would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives and the pond and woodland in the garden together with the views from the conservatory meant that my dad was able to watch the wildlife for hours. Only minimal points I would make that could be improved and one is for us ladies... a mirror near a plug socket for the all important straighteners and hairdryer would be really useful and for the mobility impaired, a hand rail on the wall inside the ensuite shower downstairs would be very helpful. A wonderful place to stay and I would love to go back in winter to make use of the super looking wood burning stove. I am sure we will return. Many thanks for a smooth and successful holiday. (My dad seconds this review!!)
