Fantastic penthouse beach front 2 BR sleeps 6, 2 BA, sea view, lift

Mi Capricho: Situated in Calahonda's most attractive holiday complex, this penthouse (5th floor with lift) has everything for the perfect holiday. Luxury furnished inside and out. There is a large terrace (80 M2) with stairs leading to a roof solarium (60 M2), both boasting magnificent sea views. During the summer months there is the added benefit of a pool bar. Close to all amenities therefore car hire is not essential. Beautiful, very well maintained tropical gardens, 24 hours security, lift from the underground parking space and directly to the apartment.

There are 4 swimming pools, 2 for kids and 2 for more grown ups. In peak season, lifeguards watches the pools. The largest pool, 120 feet long, meanders right by the sea. Very friendly and pleasant environment for all kind of people. There is a playground for kids in the pool area, paths for wheel chair users and other facilities making this the perfect resort for a relaxing holiday.

Attractions: Aqua Park in Torremolinos, 15 minutes drive

Funny beach, Marbella, 10 minutes drive

Ronda, wonderful village in the mountains considered the bullfighting point of origin. (50 minutes drive)

Mijas, lovely and charming town in the hillside. (20 minutes drive)

There are a lot of fiestas and arrangements all year round.

Why Mr. Per Halvorsen chose Calahonda

I was in Calahonda first time in 1992 playing golf for the first time. I really enjoyed the area and have revisited Costa del Sol yearly since then both as a golfer but also for relaxing/holiday with family.

When the opportunity came to buy my own property in Spain I was looking at 75 objects.I was living @ Mi Capricho during one of these stays and found out it had all I was looking for. I brought my wife and kids down here and they loved it too. So for us, this is the best family resort ever visited.

Stunning and relaxing

Second consecutive year in Pers apartment but this time 8 weeks and next year a little longer.

Being retired we travel between two homes and Pers apartment has become a Winter extension. So often you return somewhere and the standards have dropped ---NOT Pers. His standards are very much 5 stars. The sight is so secure and friendly. A few new restaurants opened since last year but it was so lovely to visit the regular restaurants of last year and be made so very welcome like long lost friends. The beach at the bottom of the gardens is just wonderful for walking. We walked no less than 4 miles each day both on the beach and up and over the various roads. I'm a little stuck for more information as you will see I wrote a review last year. Our only advice---- don't hesitate to stay at this apartment and book early to avoid disappointment.

Perfect location

We stayed one week in November with perfect weather conditions. Each morning breakfast on the spacious terrace in the shadow. If it is to warm, you can go on the roof to get some wind. Perfect view to the sea. You can see Africa and Gibraltar if the conditions are good.
Well equipped, modern apartment with flat screen, DVD and air condition in living and sleeping room. Perfect for 4 people. 2 Sleeping rooms and two bathrooms.
Lift goes from the spacious and secured garage direct to the apartment.
5 minutes to walk until the big Super market. Marbella and Porto Banus not far away. Bus stop within three minutes to go.
Full 10 points for this location.
Only the highway in front of apartment complex is a little bit noisy. But on the terrace on the sea side you only hear the sea.

Superb apartment

We have just spent 5 wonderful weeks at Per's apartment and re-booked for 8 weeks next year. The apartment is beautifully but simply furnished. The balcony is enormous. To sit there in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine or Gin and Tonic is something to savour.. The views of the sea and watching the boats out fishing the Cruise Ships passing by is another part of the sight from the balcony.

The complex Mi Cappicio is beautifully maintained and very tight security. The garage is very secure with a lift taking you to your front door.

There are many shops, restaurants, taxis and a medical centre all within walking distance. It is only approx half an hour from Malaga Airport.

We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

The ultimate penthouse

We would highly recommend staying at this exellent apartment which was exactly as described in the listing. Location was excellent, only a straightforward 25 minute car journey from Malaga airport and the complex was situated right on the sea front. The furthest we travelled was to Seville approx 2hours drive away but was well worth it and Ronda was 1hour. The living room and bedrooms had stunning sea views, also great for watching the sun come up. The complex was well looked after and the leisure facilities looked great although we just didn't get time to use them. There was also a convenient shop and a few bars/restaurants on site with more situated across the road -all within easy walking distance including Italian, Chinese, Indian, Spanish and English. The apartment itself was clean, well maintained and had a lovely view fom the vast terraces. It didn't seem like a holiday flat but felt homely. We made good use of the washing machine, cooker, toaster and microwave with no problems. 6 of us were sharing with no hot water shortages neither morning nor night. Per, the owner was very helpful and informative, providing generous information before and after making the booking and on arrival.

Fantastic property

We stayed in Mi Capricho for a week just before x-mas 2011 and enjoyed 18-20 degrees and sunny days the entire week.

Excellent apartment with fantastic views to Africa and Gibraltar. Very good standard, quiet area, very close to sea and everybody loved the 150 sqm terrace.
We were surprised by the very central location. You have everything within 5 minutes walk.

Calahonda is a favourite holiday destination as it is ideally situated right by the sea between Fuengirola and Marbella (both about 10 minutes drive away), and only 25 minutes drive from Malaga Airport. There's an an excellent bus service along the coast, with buses running every 25 minutes to Fuengirola and Marbella, stopping off at lots of beaches, villages, and attractions on the way. If you wish to travel further afield in the Malaga direction, a train will whisk you along the coast from Fuengirola via such tourist hotspots as Benalmadena and Torremolinos. Calahonda has a wide variety of shops, banks, bars, restaurants and cafes. It has it's own medical centre, a picturesque marina, and two golf courses. The lovely white village of Mijas is about 20 minutes drive up the foot-hills. Puerto Banus Marina is about 15 minutes drive. Gibraltar is about a 70 minute drive away, Ronda 50 minutes and the magnificent Selwo Adventure Park at Estepona is in the same direction, 25 minutes.
