Shopping: There are many supermarkets near the flat, the local Casino supermarket is 4.3km or circa 10 minute drive from the flat, with a Leclerc a further two minutes away at the shopping estate opposite Mandelieu Airport. There are local shops where one can buy milk and croissants in the morning which is a four minute drive from the flat.
The one thing to take advantage of are the local food markets. The two in Cannes (Forville and Gambetta) are absolutely amazing, due to the great choice of fresh food/ cheeses/olives/fish/meat and pasta. These are open every day. In addition you have a market in Cannes La Bocca.
And of course there are clothes and jewellery shops on the Rue D'Antibes and La Croisette.
Outdoor activities:
The flat is situated in Croix des Gardes, which is a nature reserve with varied flora (including mimosa trees) and beautiful views of the sea and the mountains, and ideal for dog walks. There is also a 'Parcours Sante' (health/exercise course) with various activities.
There are of course the beach and pool activities (swimming, windsurfing, diving, banana boat, water ski, etc.), generally from May to September.
In a 30 km radius, you will also find go-karting and high ropes centres, as well as zoos and wolf or bison reserves
Finally, do not forget to go to one of the open-air cinemas in the summer, whether in Monaco, Villefranche or Mouans Sartoux, or one of the open air concerts in Le Suquet (usually end of July).
Museums and villages: There are many museums in the Cote d'Azur, including Matisse, Bonnard, Fernand Leger, Picasso, Chagall.
There are also lovely villages to visit, such as Gourdon, Moustiers, Castellane, etc.
