Villa Rosa is an ideal holiday place for families or a group of friends. It has its own private pool, many sunbeds and is surrounded by an authentic stone wall to reinforce your privacy. The open outdoor BBQ area has comfortable sofas and tables, which is great for entertaining guests and spending quality time with friends and family. There are also 2 large terraces at the front of the villa overlooking the sea , with a large stone dining table.

The waterfront villa also offers 2 kayaks, a ‘laser pico’ sailing dinghy and over 6 bikes to suit the whole family. Also, an outdoor tennis table is available guaranteed to entertain you for hours.

The villa is an innovative mixture of traditional Mediterranean architecture and a modern twist. The combination of the two contrasting themes creates a unique home, emphasising the local tradition and natural beauties. The warmth of the wood and hand carved stone depict the welcoming tone of the villa as it echoes the medieval roots.

Villa Rosa is a beautiful, traditional, waterfront villa located in the heart of Viganj. The small picturesque village of Viganj is located directly on the beach, overlooking the crystal clear Adriatic sea. Villa Rosa accommodates all the necessities for an unforgettable holiday experience with endless activities. Whilst also providing tranquility and relaxation with the amenities of the villa including the breathtaking views of the sea from the front and rear terraces.

In prime season there are many family run restaurants, all serving fresh locally caught fish and 3 bars within a 5-minute walk. The local shop is only a 1-minute stroll away, selling all the basics you should need to accompany your stay. Located opposite the shop is the ferry. The 10-minute journey transports you to the beautiful island of Korcula, where you can first-hand experience the Mediterranean ambiance.

Viganj also is known to be Croatias best windsurfing and Kitesurfing area. Waterdonkey school has the best tuition for beginners and all levels of ability. It attracts people from all over Europe. It is also possible to hire SUP , Kayaks and extra bikes from here. Theres a small beach bar which is the perfect place to watch the sun go down , whilst enjoying a drink.

Viganj is also a favourite spot for bike riders or mountain climbers .

I can also assist you with cheap airport transfer if you wish , or advise you on car hire, wine excursions , day trips etc . We also can help with boat hire , water taxis to korchula, or anything to make your stay at our Villa more enjoyable.

Over the last few years there have been a few outstanding restaurants opened on their own islands , which are possible to get to by water taxi or your own boat . These islands are spectacular , as is the food! With some fantastic photo opportunities for the teenagers!!

Villa Rosa stay

Fantastic property, was perfect for us all and in a beautiful setting. Loved having the boat, bikes, kayaks and games. We really enjoyed our stay. Bob was very friendly and helpful too. Would love to return sometime.

Summer holiday with friends

We were a group of 10 with adult children. The house was in a great location. A quiet road in front of the house where people walk/cycle up and down. Supermarket and bakery a stones throw away and restaurants / ferry to Korcula very nearby. Wind surfing lessons were enjoyed by the children. You really don’t need a car. Use of bikes and kayaks was a bonus.

Family trip for Son’s 30th Birthday

As soon as I saw this listing on line I knew it was perfect for our family of 8 and we had a wonderful stay at Villa Rosa in Viganj. The villa is a wonderful old house overlooking the sea, which is only a few steps from the villa’s front gate, perfect for a morning dip. The pool area is beautiful getting full sun all day with loungers for everyone and a lovely seating area by the bbq which we made full use of. The paddle board and kayaks had several outings as did the bikes, enough for the whole group. The local area is beautiful, a flat easy walk to a couple of great restaurants, the K2 Bar, a lovely ice cream shop and the kitesurfing centre. The supermarket (big enough for all essentials, a larger one is a bike ride away) and bakery are 1 minute from the villa. The water taxi picks up by the supermarket and the owner is very helpful and easy to contact, he took us over to the nearby island of Korcula, well worth a visit or two. Very beautiful architecture, many lovely restaurants and a craft beer pub. The people were all so welcoming and friendly everywhere we went. We also spent a day at La Banya Beach club, again well worth a visit the meal we had in the restaurant was excellent. Couldn’t recommend Villa Rosa and it’s owners enough, Sally was extremely helpful answering my (many!) questions and giving me local contact numbers for cabs, water taxi and cake maker! Bob the house manager was so friendly and helpful. Book you won’t be disappointed, we will be back!

Location location location

Stunning spot on the waterfront in beautiful viganj . Bedrooms comfortable and with added aircon a bonus . Pool area great for all and large enough to find your own spot for some peace and downtime too . We particularly liked the front of the house and the patio garden for dinners and drinks - to have some lights set up over the table or some recharge lamps would have made this perfect . Having bikes to roam about the village as part of the property is a treat . My only observation is that the kitchen is very tired and could do with a revamp and some new pots and pans and crockery as this is a large family rental I believe the kitchen needs to work harder and be a Little more user friendly We would stay again and loved our time there with our family

After spending time searching around different locations in Croatia, we stumbled upon the small village of Viganj and instantly fell in love with its unique rustic charm. We viewed many different sites in the area until we found the soon to be Villa Rosa and embarked on the journey of resurrecting the ruin to becoming a welcoming family home. Originally the villa was built approximately 300 years ago by a sea captain. The historic charm of the villa and village influenced us into ensuring that we kept to the true Dalmatian background when restoring the house into what it is now. We bought the house in 2004 and after 4 years of renovations we have carefully retained the original features but also offer a modern elegance.

Villa Rosa is a fantastic seafront location and situated ideally in the heart of Viganj.
The property is suited for 2 families or large groups and perfect for relaxing and listening to the waves. Close enough to find more live on the Island of Korcula by foot ferry or private speedboat ( which we can arrange)

What makes this property unique

Viganj is a small tourist place on the western part of the Peljesac peninsula, only 8km from Orebic.It is said that Viganj is a botanical garden in itself, rich with flowers and bushes brought as gifts by seamen to their beloved wives from their journeys. The population has long been involved in agriculture, fishing and, more recently, tourism.
Visit historical sites such as: the St. Ivan church (located on an eponymous hill and offers a beautiful view of the Peljesac canal), St. Ilija hill and the Nakrana village.
Viganj is rich with pebble beaches and is very popular among sports and active vacation fans, especially those who enjoy water activities (windsurfing, sailing, diving…).
