LARGE PROPERTY WITH CHARACTER 500 M FROM THE BEACHES

Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday home in El Palo - Villa Acacias

4-bedroom house with 2 bathrooms, 3000m² garden and shaded patio close to beach

Charming house dating from the late 19th century. It belonged to a famous composer until our family purchased it in 1907. It is surrounded by a large 3000 m² wooded garden and boasts of a shaded patio. This house is not air-conditioned but the ceiling height (4.3 m on the ground floor and the first floor), the marble and the “azulejos” floors, the large windows, the sea breeze and some fans in case of heat create a very nice airing. The old fishing village of El Palo become urban and a “normal” area of the town. This garden in the centre of an urban area is still a privileged quiet place. Many other owners have been living for 20 years in “casas adosadas” (town house with garden and pool).

The beaches of El Palo, Pedregalejo and Las Acacias (500 m from the house) are urban grey sand beaches. Artificial coves have been created 15 years ago. These beaches are lined with a 3 km promenade (the Paseo Maritimo) planted with palm trees and surrounded by many “merenderos”, some small outdoor shaded restaurants where you can eat for affordable prices. The beaches are cleaned daily. We don’t have many foreign tourists, there are particularly Spanish families and inhabitants of Malaga. The tourists rather stay to the West of the town, close to Torremolinos and further. The area is very pleasant with the mountain in the back and many beautiful strolls to have. Granada is 1 h30 by car and Seville is 2 h. Many medium-sized cities and very beautiful villages (Pueblos Blancos de los Montes de Malaga) are very close. There are all sorts of shops within walking distance including a supermarket and a daily traditional market.

The bus stop that leads to the historical centre (20 min) is 300 m and the “Ronda de Malaga” (ring road that goes from Motril to Torremolinos) is 1 km to the North of the house.

The historical centre of Malaga that is largely pedestrian has a lot of charm and interests: many bustling streets, narrow streets and squares, the Arab Palace, the Roman Theatre, Picasso Museum, Carmen Thyssen Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, archbishop’s palace, churches, etc.
