The property is quite easy to access, at about 8 miles from the highway exit 53 on A20. The Dordogne river at 12 miles offers exciting canoeing opportunities. Very popular destinations around are Rocamadour (18 miles), Collonge la Rouge (12 miles), Carennac (15 miles), Martel (8 miles), Sarlat (40 miles), Domme, Beynac, La Roque Gagaec a.o. A lot of caves are also open to visits (Gouffre de Padirac, Pech Merle with authentic 26.000 years old wall paintings (reservation mandatory), Lacave a.o.) Golf practisers will find several golf courses in the area.
Locals are really very nice people and still very hospitable. A lot of restaurants, in all price categories but still much cheaper than in other touristic areas, offer a wide range of local specialties like foie gras, salade de gésier, confit de canard...
Our neighbour will visit you to check the pool. He is born here and knows the region very well.
