The house is furnished to a very high standard with lounge and dining area, marble stairs lead to the first floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and all the cooking utensils you will need. A door from the kitchen leads to a small rear patio with utility area including washing machine and sink. There is a very nice shower room with toilet, sink with vanity unit on the ground floor. The lounge has a 3 seater sofa that easily converts into a very comfortable double bed there is also a 2 seater sofa, large coffee table and side table. The dining area has a large table seats 6 and a lovely dresser. There is an air-conditioning unit and ceiling fans. English and Spanish TV,CD/DVD player. A marble stair case leads to the 1st floor with a double bedroom and twin bedded room the beds can be zipped together to make a very comfortable king-size bed. Both the bedrooms have large built in wardrobes with chest of drawers inside. Both rooms are fully air-conditioned also have ceiling fans for anyone who does not like air-conditioning. There is a large bathroom on the first floor with shower over bath toilet and bidet. The staircase from landing extends to the large roof terrace, ideal for sunbathing, with views of the mountains. There is a BBQ, sun loungers, sun umbrella and beach chairs available for use.There is a table and chairs on both the sun terrace and on the front patio. The house is close to landscaped gardens and the pool is just 50m away.
Facilities and attractions in San Juan : The lovely sandy beaches are just a few minutes walk from the house. The palm tree lined promenade stretches the length of the bay with a variety of restaurants and beach cafes. The house is a few min walk to a landscaped area with children's play area included. Table tennis, basketball, football beach gym equipment are to be found in the area. There is ample beach parking. The village also has plenty of restaurants, bars, 2 supermarkets and other shops. Within a five minute drive there are many small sandy beaches ideal for small children and safe for bathing. San Juan has its own golf course - golf Aguillion situated in the foothills of the surrounding mountain range. An 18 hole par 70 course with panoramic views over the whole of San Juan and surrounding areas. San Juan is best reached from Murcia airport which is about an hours drive along the new quiet toll motorway. Almeria airport is about an hour and a quarter away.
Nearby places of interest: San Juan is a beautiful small village with arguably the best beaches in the area and certainly the safest. With Mojacar some 30km south and the Spanish town of Aguilas only 9km to the north it is a great centre for seeing all the sites of the area. There are many coves and small beaches along this stretch of the coast and some great coastal walks linking the bays to the north. The charming hilltop village of Mojacar is well worth a visit with its quaint little shops narrow streets and numerous bars and restaurants. The delightful town of Aguilas with its marina, wide range of tourist facilities and lovely square set in gardens where you can relax and dine alfresco is not to be missed. The ancient town of Lorca is 40km away. There are many interesting and attractive inland towns and villages in the northern Almeria area. All have their own character and wherever you go you will always find some hidden treasure as you uncover some of the beauties of this unspoilt region of Spain.
Local walks: San Juan de los Terreros is know as the Gate to Andualucia due to its position on the borders of Murcia and Almeria. It is a holiday resort that has grown up around a small fishing village and is famous for its cave houses and quiet beaches that are safe for all the family. The symbol of the village is the castle built by Charles 111 in 1764 to defend the coast against the attacks of the Berbers . You can take a short but interesting walk up to the tower, with spectacular views up and down the coast . The sharp jagged peaks of the mountains behind the resort frame the skyline as the sun goes down. Further into the mountains there are old iron and silver mines and a stiff uphill walk is worthwhile in order to see the old workings and ruined villages where the miners lived. This is an ideal location for all the family and with its mild winters, average temperatures of 20 degrees and approx. 320 days of sunshine makes it a perfect break any time of year.

Spain is my favourite country. I love the people and the language and I am learning to speak Spanish. I hope when I retire that I can spend long periods in our lovely house in the beautiful resort of San Juan.

I have known and loved this area for many years and spent many great holidays here. So it was a great oppertunity when this lovely development came on the market to have my own place in the sun. The property is in an ideal location on the prestigous development of Calas Del Pinar. With it's close proximatey to all amenities and lovely mountain views. It is a great place to relax.You can sit on the front terrace in the evenings and watch the sun go down. When you fancy a dip, the pool is just 50m walk away. The beautiful beaces of San Juan are just a 5 min walk away. The Village with its supermarkets, bars and resturants are also just 5 mins walk away. I love to walk along the Promanade in the evening and listen to the water beat against the beach. The prominade is lined with many bars and resturants serving delightful food or just a drink or ice cream.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property has the feel of a home rather than an unloved rental and the owner was a delight to deal with as were her locally based contacts:). The village is lovely and all amenities are within an easy walk tho at the time of our stay parking was no problem anywhere. La Venta restaurant in the village comes highly recommended. The food, staff and atmosphere made for a very pleasant experience.We enjoyed exploring much of the Almeria area which was quiet and utterly charming. We look forward to our next visit!
We have stayed at Casa Rosa 3 times in the past 3 years. We always go in September when the weather is a bit cooler but there is still plenty going on in San Juan. The house is always immaculately presented and very clean when we arrive. With two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a roof terrace and a front terrace with lovely mountain views, the house is tastefully decorated and has all the facilities you need for a holiday home.
We love the pool which is a few strides away and love the fact that we can walk to the beautiful sandy beaches of San Juan with its long Palm tree lined Promenade and lots of beach bars and restaurants. If you have a car there are plenty of places to explore (maps are provided by the owners). 5 -10 minutes’ drive away is the gorgeous and peaceful sandy coves of Playa de Carolina. If you want to explore further there are the beautiful mountainous national parks north of Lorca which are wonderful for hiking. If you head south you reach the stunning coastal national park Cabo de Gata which is about an hour and half’s drive away – highly recommended.
San Juan village has plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from all within walking distance. Our favourites are Pepe’s which often has entertainment in its open-air courtyard bar and Mi Cortijo.
Celia the owner is lovely - she responded very quickly to our enquires and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful holiday The Managers Dominic and Jane are lovely friendly people and live just a short walk away, they are really helpful should you have any problems.
Casa Rosa is an idyllic Spanish get away which we will continue to return to.

The house was beautifully presented, clean on arrival and is well maintained. The facilities for this self catered house are fantastic, with full kitchen appliances and utensils, and a BBQ. The beautiful, secluded beaches are within walking distance, as too are a choice of restaurants and bars serving local produce. The large terrace offers a fantastic space for relaxing whilst enjoying the mountain views. I have already recommended the house to friends and family and am hoping to return in 2014.
This was our third stay at this property, and it is certainly our hope to visit again this year. We generally stay May/June or September/October,outside of the July/August Spanish holiday season. At these times the weather has been great and the resort is quiet, with plenty of space on the delightful beaches. Restaurants tend to share their opening times during the quieter periods but there are always a few open and it encourages a more adventurous eating experience. The property is very well maintained and has all the facilities you could require. The enclosed pool is only 20-30 metres from the property and again is very well maintained.
The local managers Dominic and Jane live a short walk away and are always very helpful with information on the area or assistance with any issue that may arise. Ideal accommodation for a couple, or family with two children. Highly recommended.
Lovely new bright and modern 2 Bed House, 2 bathrooms (sleeps 6),sun terrace with mountains views. Shared pool. beach, restaurants bars and shops all close by. A lovely new palm tree lined promenade extends the whole length of the beach with it’s delightful beach bars and restaurants. It is just 9 kilometres away from Auguilas a delightful town with marina a beautiful square set in gardens next to the old church also a wide range of tourist facilities. The charming hilltop village of Mojacar is just 30 min drive away with it’s quaint little shops narrow streets and numerous bars and restaurants it is well worth a visit. The house is fully equipped with AC, satellite TV CD player, washing machine fridge/freezer dishwasher microwave toaster and hair-dryer. Patio table and chairs on front terrace and on roof terrace.
