Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Agios Nikolaos
3 FLOORS OF UNOBSTRUCTED SEA VIEWS, 3 BEDROOMS, 2 BATHROOMS, AIR CONDITIONING
One of three villas built on a private elevated plot of 1000sq m with breathtaking unobstructed sea views and minutes walk from the nearest secluded beach. The villa has 3 bedrooms with a surface area of 124sq m capable of accommodating 6 persons comfortably and possibly 7. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining area, 2 bathrooms, separate cloakroom, large verandas and balcony plus air conditioning. The villa has been constructed with love and respect to the natural environment's beauty using natural stone and wood, bringing 'nature's spirit' into our hearts. This individual detached stone villa has its own private swimming pool, 3m x 7m, offering a magnificent view overlooking the Ionian sea. The distance from the sea is only 80m and the view extends from the neighbouring island of Kefalonia to the north and the opposite coastline of Peloponnese to the far end of Zakynthos to the south.
The Area: The captivating charm of this area is what attracted the owners to have a traditional Zakynthian stone villa built here. The peaceful and picturesque surroundings which respect your privacy is what you will find here on one of the most beautiful places on the island. Described by many as a little piece of heaven on earth, you will go far to find such an idyllic location to relax, unwind and let the stress of every day living slip away. Volimes village is only 10min away with taverns, coffee shops, post office, health centre and many small shops. Just 300m from the villa there is the famous Xigia beach which offers a unique chance of a health spa for free! The water here is reputed to be good for skin, removing cellulite, relieving arthritis and other ailments due to the high sulphur content. The beach is small & uncrowded, perfect for a tranquil time to bathe in the healing waters. There are many tavernas in the area offering excellent local cusine and friendly hospitality
The Island: Luxuriantly fertile mountains, ancient villages, Venetian monasteries, together with the bustling resorts of the south make this an island to please everyone. You can find long sandy beaches, small secluded coves, you can visit old monasteries, walk among the countryside where the smell of wild herbs is intoxicating, taking in breathtaking views of cliffs, sea and amazing sunsets. You can visit the famous Ship Wreck Bay, voted one of the top ten beaches in the world by Conde Naste Traveller, the Blue Caves or the home of the Caretta Turtle. If you are after excellent shopping, art and culture the main town of Zakynthos is certainly worth visiting. The square in the evening tends to be very lively and there are lots of restaurants to choose from where you can sit under the stars and enjoy local traditional Greek dishes. The island itself is easy to drive around and the scenery very beautiful. If you are after more lively entertainment you will find this further south of the island.
C & D Villas: We are very happy and excited to be able to offer you the chance of a holiday in our wonderful villa which is very dear to our hearts. The villa can also be rented with its sister villa which has been built to the same specification - property No. 89140. About Craig Carson
My husband and I as pictured above on a boat trip to Shipwreck Bay have been happily married for almost 31 years. We have two sons of 29 and 27 years as well as our daughter who is 21 years and studying acting at University in Wales. We have enjoyed many holidays over the years and in fact we lived in New Zealand for almost five years which is where our daughter was born. We enjoy the sun, swimming, good food and good wine. We like walking, sight seeing and experiencing different cultures. We still both work full time so look forward to our holidays at the villa where we can thoroughly relax, surrounded by the wonders of nature.
Craig Carson purchased this villa in 2008
Why Craig Carson chose Agios Nikolaos
We choose this spot for our villa which was built along with its sister villa also family owned. The location is so peaceful with the mountains on one side and the Ionian Sea on the other. We both like to be beside the water so for us there is no better location. The villa is built in the traditional stone style and keeps cool in the warmer days while retaining the heat in the colder days of winter. We also fell in love with the Island and the Greek people who are so warm and welcoming.
What makes this villa unique
A chance to get away from it all. Very private yet not far away from the hustle and bustle if you fancy it. The pool is a big bonus and the olive trees for shelter from the sun. I could go on and on about the benefits but it is best for you to experience them for yourself. Most of our clients report back that they would be happy to never leave the villa on their vacation so I think that says it all.
Guestbook comments from the owner
My summary is that you have a lovely villa in a fantastic location with wonderful views. The other big plusses for us were the proximity to really good restaurants so we were able to mix eating out and eating in. The variety of beaches which we used meant we never got bored. The pool and the villa by comparison to others we have rented had a really well equipped kitchen. The welcome pack is a nice gesture, particularly if you arrive at a time when the shops are closed. Your maintenance team do a great job, the cleaning and pool maintenance is done when promised and well. We had a small issue with the first floor WC which was sorted the next day - all very efficient and friendly.
We had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend your Villa to anyone thinking about a holiday in Zakynthos.
