Luxurious private villa for 6 people with private pool and grounds

The estate: This villa is part of the historical Villa Saletta estate which once belonged to the noble Riccardi family and remains an important part of local heritage. In its day, it was one of the largest agricultural estates in the area. Today we produce three grades of high quality red wine and olive oil and guests are encouraged to visit the cantina to learn more about wine production and sample our limited stock of hand-crafted wines.

There are more than 20 old farmhouses on the land, mostly dating back to the 1800s. Each one is unique and individual in size and location and each has its own story to tell. Only three of these farmhouses have been restored and are now available for rental, each with its own private grounds and pool and attentive staff.

A week is not enough to sample the variety of reasonably-priced restaurants in the area. An extensive list of restaurants is provided together with a full information pack about the house, the area and services available locally.

The villa: Ground floor

Two double bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom (shower only); laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board; guest WC. Stairs leading to middle floor.

Middle floor

Kitchen with breakfast bar, fully equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, kettle, filter coffee machine, toaster, all tableware and cooking utensils. Dining room seating 8 opening onto a terrace with further table and chairs for al fresco dining. Large drawing room with open fireplace, comfortable sofas and armchairs, writing desk, TV with satellite and DVD player, Bose docking station for iPod and free WiFi internet connection.

Top floor

Master bedroom with small balcony overlooking the swimming pool and garden; master bathroom with bath and shower.

The house has full air conditioning or central heating (according to season) throughout, VOIP telephone, daily cleaning (2 hr/day, 6 days/week), all linen, bath towels and pool towels changed Saturdays.

Grounds and approach: The building is set in private, enclosed grounds accessed via remote-controlled gate. The property is surrounded by woodland and there are also many trees within the grounds, as well as well-tended flower beds, shrubs and lawns.

The villa overlooks the terraced garden area leading down to the pool area. On the lower level you will find the swimming pool (12m x 7m) with its own sun terrace, bathroom with shower, outdoor dining area and charcoal barbecue.

Access road not suitable for cars with poor ground clearance.
