Tarragona was a major site of Roman civilisation in Spain and has many well-preserved sites of historical interest. Closer to us is the mighty River Ebro, world- famous for it's catfish and carp fishing. The Ebro delta is a wonderful place with a great variety of wildlife and birds including hoopoes and eagles. There is an abundance of wine producing areas such as the great Rioja. Cava is made here too.
Venture further afield to Barcelona and see the amazing Gaudi cathedral the Sagrada Familia, or the famous Ramblas. Barcelona can be reached by express train in under 2 h and costs very little. If theme parks are your cup of tea then there is Port Aventura, which is only about 40 min away by car or train.
Situated mid-way between Barcelona and Valencia, this is an area famous for it's rice production. The Spanish love Paella and much of Spain's rice is grown here. The region is an area of outstanding natural beauty, is rich in wildlife and birds and the scenery is stunning.
Other Activities: Many diving clubs in the area
Golf: Local golf clubs are within 30 km of us.
