Newly converted annex with own entrance, within a short walk of the restaurants, shops and railway station of the village of Stansted Mountfitchet.
When you enter the property, there is a hall and kitchenette area and a door leading to the newly installed bathroom. Up a short flight of wooden stairs is the door into the bedroom/sitting room.
The sleeping area has a king size bed, and two bedside tables. There are three windows in the room but they all have black-out blinds and the windows have secondary double glazing to ensure a quiet, peaceful nights sleep.
The lounge area has a large flat screen Freesat TV, a chest of drawers, two comfortable armchairs, a coffee table and two full length clothes cupboards.
Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, fruit, fruit juices, butter, preserves, muesli, cornflakes and bread supplies will be in the kitchenette for you to have breakfast and refreshments at your convenience.
The property is equipped with smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher
Parking is available at no additional charge on our drive outside the property.
Please note that there is no sink in the kitchenette area, so dirty plates etc are collected and replaced daily.
We are situated in the Norman village of Stansted Mountfitchet. The village has several pubs, wine bars, restaurants, take away and shops within a five minute walk of the house. There is a lovely Park and Recreation ground about two hundred yards from the property. The village has some interesting sights, including a Norman castle, Toy museum, an impressive Windmill, and a lovely Arts and Crafts church.
The Railway Station is about 500 yards from the house with frequent trains to London and Cambridge. There is also a train that stops at Stansted airport every 30-60 minutes. We are not on the flight path so it is generally free of aircraft noise.
There are plenty of lovely walks & places to visit in the area and the town of Bishops Stortford with cinema and more extensive shopping options, is about a five minute drive away.
Stansted Airport is only a ten minute drive from the house either by country lanes or via the A120. We are a five minute drive from Junction 8 on the M11
Golf: 18 hole golf course at MuchHadham only 10km away and a 9 hole golf course in Elsenham 5km away.
