PERFECT STAY, LOVED IT AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  • 5 out of 5
We loved the cottage, it was like home from home, everything we needed was provided. The cottage was ideally located for both countryside and the coast, walking to the nearest beach Marazion was easy. We also walked to St.Ives which was a little more challenging, due to the lack of signs. It is very easy to explore the area so makes an ideal base.
Steve and Stacey have the lovliest location and you are completely left alone to use the property and it's garden, which we did on one day, chilling in the sun.
A perfect holiday for us, and the first in the UK for a very long time, so it was ideal and would highly recommend to others. Enjoy, we will be back one day to enjoy again, I'm sure!

COMFORTABLE AND WELL LOCATED

  • 5 out of 5
A wonderfully located and beautifully converted cottage. The views are exceptional and it is next door to a Marazion - one of the most impressive sea side places in Cornwall. We can't recommend it highly enough.
Thank you Steve and Stacey for a really exceptional break.

A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY IN CORNWALL

  • 5 out of 5
A short description of our two weeks holiday in Cornwall:
We are a middle aged couple (50+) from the city of Eschweiler, near to Aachen, Germany.
We found this nice building in the internet and booked directly. The presentation in the net is correct and without exaggeration!
Everything was ok: good furnishing with all necessary facilities, clean and well maintained. The place in the small village of Ludgvan was quite. And the distance to the town of Penzance was not too far.
The highlight was the view from the kitchen window to the castle of Mt. Michael in the Mounts Bay.
To stay in Ludgvan was the ideal situation for us: we parked our car in the near of Penzance and traveled with the bus to the different stations near to the "South West Coast Path" and back to Penzance (rem.: single bus tickets are expensive. we bought a weekly ticket for 25pound).
In this two weeks we were hiking the SWCP by daily trips and surrounded the Penwith Peninsula from St. Ives to Marazion: enjoying the outdoor activity, the atmosphere, the landscape and the impressive views from the cliffs to the sea.
And we had two days "free" for beach holiday in St. Ives and Porthcurno (but the sea was very cold 13°C!) and another day for visiting the Trelissick Garden near to Truro and the town of Falmouth.
We were lucky with the weather: two weeks dry and sunny (no "English weather").
Last not least: the short distance to the "White Hart" Inn of Ludgvan with the good food and the real ale in the evening. We really enjoyed this in the evening after finishing our daily program.
Sorry: we didn't use the nice garden of the cottage because of our filled days.
Summary: this property of the "Old Primary School" is an attractive place to stay for a Cornwell holiday.

LOVELY PROPERTY IN GREAT LOCATION.

  • 5 out of 5
We stayed at the Old Primary School for a week. Steve and Stacey made us very welcome and the property itself has excellent accomodation and facilities not to mention a great view of St Michael's Mount from the kitchen window. The atmosperic White Hart pub is 100 metres up the road in the small village and there is a nice walking track to nearby Maraizon. Great location for touring Western Cornwall including St Ives, Penzance, Minack Theatre, Lands End etc etc. I would rate this property as 4.5 stars as it provides excellent value.
