An excellent stay at The Old Primary School. We rented the one bed cottage which was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Lovely views of St Michaels Mount from the window was a real bonus. The cottage is in easy reach of the coast as well as Penzance and St Ives. Good pub just up the hill for an evening meal or lunch. Steve and Stacey made us feel very welcome with use of the garden area. We will certainly be booking again in the future.

The Old Primary School, Ludgvan

An absolutely wonderful place- both the location and accomodation were great!

Accommodation:
The building is split so the the owners live at one end, the apartment is in the middle and this cottage at the end. This meant that we could park our car in the ample drive next to our door. We have stayed in mainly self catering on every holiday, but this was so well equipped, we did not have to buy anything! There was even washing up liquid, sponges, clingfilm etc under the sink. The cottage was also spotlessly clean, inside and out.
My partner and I stayed with our 20 month old son and the large, beautifully maintained garden was ideal for him to run around in at the end of a days exploring. The owners kindly provide garden furniture, a trampoline and games that can be used if you wish. All the rooms are spacious, plenty of room for the 3 of us (even with the travel cot in the bedroom) and the bathroom superb. I also like that you can open a window in every room and get plenty of fresh air in.

Location:
Ludgvan is situated on a hillside with Marazion to one side, Penzance and St Ives within only a 10 minute drive. Ideal. We like to travel about when we are on holiday so the location was great. From the kitchen sink, you can view St Michaels Mount, which is only 5/10 mins away. Turn right out of the driveway and the B-road takes you over the hill to St Ives, certainly the quieter and more picturesque way to arrive in the town. The major roads around Cornwall are easily accessed from the Old Primary School and we visited Padstow, Lands End and Falmouth amongst others (at most a 1hr 20min journey.) We were relieved to return to such a quiet spot after hectic days in St Ives and would certainly recommend a visit to the local pub, who were very accommodating with children and where the food was varied and delicious.

Steve and Stacey are good hosts- they make it clear they are always available should you need anything whilst maintaining a discreet presence. We asked Steve for recommendations of where to visit and he was very helpful. Stacey was very efficient in confirming the booking and keeping in contact. We would certainly return, have already recommended the Old Primary School to friends and have nothing but praise. Cannot fault the price for a weeks stay in high summer- I searched the internet for what felt like forever and I am so pleased I found a cottage with a large garden and a bath for our son!
