Newly renovated 2 bedroomed apartment in the heart of the old city, between Alfama and the Castelo S. Jorge. The living-room offers great views of Monastery S. Vicente, beyond the lemon trees, while the bedrooms and their balconies look onto a small square with plenty of trees surrounded by beautiful old houses; it’s so peaceful it feels like a village square. Entirely renovated in 2011, the apartment has 2 double bedrooms with furnished balconies, to enjoy the sun; 2 full bathrooms, an open kitchen, dining area and a comfortable living-room. Beautiful old tiles (azulejos) have been used to renovate both bathrooms and the kitchen, and traditional Portuguese fabrics (chitas de Alcobaça) decorate the bedrooms. The style is pleasant and colourful mixing antique pieces and modern furniture. An ideal and picturesque base from which to explore Lisbon with family or friends!

In Lisbon you will enjoy an intense cultural life (museums, architecture, exhibitions, music concerts and little 'fado' houses); a wide variety of restaurants, from the big modern style places on the riverside to the small 'tasca' next door; theatre, cinema (original language with Portuguese subtitles), night-life... The shopping is excellent. twice a week don't miss 'Feira da Ladra' (Lisbon's old flea market) only 2 mn away! Walk around the town centre, take the “eléctrico” (tramway) to Belém to visit the Jerónimos Monastery, or nr 28 across the old city centre,the train to Cascais along the coast to one of the nearby beaches, or the ferry at Praça do Comércio to see Lisbon from across the river. Less than 20km away you will find many beaches: Caparica (south of the Tagus), a 20km continuous stretch of sand, and Guincho (near Cascais), world famous for surfing and wind-surfing. Golf players will find a dozen golf courses within a 30 minute drive, on both sides of the Tagus.

A wonderful quiet and friendly place
We looked for a peaceful and true potoguese location – and we did find it. The owner's description is absolute accurate and Isabel is a very friendly and helpful host, offering a well maintained and charming apartment, clean and modern-typical, as we found. The towers of Sao Vicente said „hello“ to us for breakfast through the kitchen window every morning. Most of all we loved the little square „Santa Marinha“ with his trees in front of the house, surrounded by normal portuguese neighbouhood. It seemed for us as if we were miles away from the stressy touritistic mainroads – although the yellow tram stop was a five minutes walk distance away. Also nearby is the marvellous mirador as well as the lively square („Largho“) de Graca. There we founnd many little shops and typical restaurants of all different kind. We certainly do recommend Isabel's apartment to get in love with Lisboa.

A wonderful quiet and friendly place
We looked for a peaceful and true potoguese location – and we did find it. It seemed for us as if we were miles away from the stressy touritistic mainroads – although the yellow tram stop was a five minutes walk distance away. Also nearby is the marvellous mirador as well as the lively square („Largho“)de Graca. There we founnd many little shops and typical restaurants of all different kind. We certainly do reccomend Isabel's Apartement to get in love with Lisboa.

One word ........ PERFECT !!!!!
This property is an excellent quiet location yet within easy reach (either on foot or tram) of nearly all the main attractions.. Everything about the apartment from the WELCOME to the DEPARTURE is excellent. It is spotless, very homely and an extra bonus is the two bathrooms - both with showers.
Without a doubt I would return to this property and will certainly recommend it to others.

The apartment is situated in a quiet area in Alfama but within short walking distance to shops and other facilities. Everything is well kept and clean and according to the description; besides the owner, Isabel, is very friendly and helpful. Good beds - and the two bathrooms are small but really nice.
We (5 people) enjoyed our stay very much and we can shurely recommend the apartment. Sightseeeing starts as soon as you leave the house!
