Luxury Villa in Stunning Setting! April & May Special Offers! Now!

As soon as we walked into Villa Millianna it felt like we at home and we had no problems settling in! The Villa offers everything you expect of a luxury villa, with a spacious kitchen, two fantastic bathrooms and a two balconies that offer spectacular sea views over the nearby olive groves and vinyards. The swimming pool is great for kids as it is quite shallow, and the poolside always has sunlight for people looking to top up their tans! The Villa is perfectly situated for nearby amenities such as local shops, restaurants, beaches and a variety of historical and geographical sites that are must see's.
Just a 10 minute walk down the drive to the left of the Villa leads you to Avithos beach which is one of the best on the island. It offers a family friendly beach and crystal clear sea which is very safe to swim in due to its shallow nature. Avithos also offers a great beach bar and two great restaurants called Enetiko and Preview. I would particuarly reccommend these if you want to sample the beast local cuisine and seafood. The calamari at Preview is particuarly good with an ice cold pint of Mythos! Other places that are great are Maccies (great chicken pita wraps) and Adonis (cakes and ice cream that are out of this world), both situated a 5 minute drive uphill to the nearby village of Lakithra
If you hire a car ( which i would really reccommend if you want to see all of this spectacular island) a short drive up the road will lead you to the island's capital Argostoli. It offers a wide range of shops, markets, cafes and restaurants. If you are very lucky you may even spot some of the turtles that nest around the harbour side. Other must see's are Myrtos beach which is rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. If you follow the coastal road round you will then reach the beautiful fishing village of Assos, and the 'St Tropez of Kefalonia' Fiskardo. It takes about an hour to get there, but offers unforgettable views of the whole island. We also visited Sami, and the nearby caves which are well worth a visit. Just a 15 minute drive away is Castro, a castle on a hill that offers great views and a great cafe!
This is without a doubt the best accomodation I have stayed in on the island and we will be returning next year! If you are looking for a relaxing location and a Villa that offers convenience and luxury then look no further than Villa Millianna.

P.S You have to use the barbeque in the back garden! Its fantastic!

A (good) sob story... In 2010 we had a difficult time in Kefalonia due to petrol shortages (like not having any) and a teenage daughter who feel and had a leg in plaster, however the saving grace was the very well appointed Villa Millianna in Kalagata. So much so we returned (with petrol and leg not in plaster) to Villa Millianna this summer (2011).

With stunning views of the bay from the pool, beautiful sunny weather (but not too hot), restaurants close by or a short car journey away and decent local beaches we had a very relaxing and enjoyable weeks holiday.

The villa upstairs is very separate, although you do share the swimming pool. we have not found this an issue, plenty of sun lounges! It is a very simple 10 minute drive to the airport, supermarkets are again a 10 minute drive or a 15 walk for the mini mart, and you can reach the 'capital' Argostoli in 20 minutes (the hospital staff are very friendly!)

The only drawback is that you do need a car to get around, but this is true for most Greek islands. Try the day boat trip to Ithaca from Sami or Skala (lovely beach), visit Fiscardo in the North and Assos on the way back (amazing views in the mountains and superb beach) , eat Kleftiko and drink the house white wine. The best restuarant IMO is The Olive Grove (Espirades i think) - details are at the Villa, but also try Preview down by the beach as a short walk there (further back due to the hill). There are many others around and you won't be disappointed.

I would recommend Villa Millanna to families and couples alike, we've had two lovely holidays and hope to have more in the future.

What a fantastic villa!We enjoyed two weeks here,the first week together with our grandaughter and her mum and dad.The views from here are quite stunning.Looking out to sea where ships pass.Don't forget your binocs!The pool is quite safe for young children,as Mia, our g'daughter discovered very quickly.She spent so much time in there,as did we all.
Nearby Avithos beach has two excellent tavernas and a beach bar.This beach is not particularly child friendly,but seek out Trapazaki and Spartia for them and the Lassi peninsular for teens where they will find an abundance of water sports available plus a rather nice beach bar where a wide variety of drinks and snacks help the day go by.There is much to see on this beautiful island,our fourth visit.
The villa was very clean and comfortable with an excellent kitchen.
We also used the BBQ.
Queiries were dealt with promtly by a telephone call.
Barely 10 mins. from the airport,the villa is set in a very peaceful area with lots of green countryside between it and the coast.
There are several steps up from the car park which we did not find a problem. We are 64 and 71!
There is an excellent local restaurant too for that special evening dinner.Set in beautiful gardens.It's called The Orange Tree.Quite delightful.
All in all,a highly recommended villa which we hope to return to again.
