Autumn break

The cottage is in a lovely location with well kept gardens and was more than we expected. The furnishings were of a very high standard and the kitchen had everything you could need although we ate out most nights. The decking was ideal for a late breakfast sat in the sunshine. The chickens next door provided a natural early morning alarm clock and loved the extra food we left out. The log fire in the evenings was an extra source of heat although the central heating was sufficient, but it looked good. A perfect place for exploring S. Devon; Dartmouth, Salcombe, Brixham and Portsmouth and a haven of peace and quiet to come back to at the end of the day! Sitting in the garden with a cold drink at the end of the day watching the sun sink behind the trees was a perfect end to most days.

This very old house is beautiful from the inside and outside. Great garden, nice veranda, nice bath room, a kitchen with everything you need etc. The area is very pretty too. It's close to the beach, Bantham with a nice place to have a good cream tea, Plymouth is great and it is not far from Dartmoor. A great place to stay, also with (little) children. Hilda, the Netherlands
Owner's Response: We have many visitors from the Continent and are happy that our cottage and detailed description of facilities meets their expectations.

We stayed for a week in Oak Cottage - such a wonderful gem of a place situated in a peaceful and rural location. The house itself is very well equipped: we were two adults and four children. This certainly is one of the prettiest places I have stayed in Devon - we shall definitely return!
Owner's Response: We are glad that our clients find our rented property so nice to stay. It is our second home and friends and family stay whenever the property is vacant.

The interior has been finished to a high level, and the garden and surrounding area is lovely.
So very peaceful, you could stay at the cottage and not move all week!!
We visited salcombe, burgh island to name a couple and was fairly local to the cottage
