This is a lovely little stone Gite in the most beautiful French rural setting, surrounded by rolling green hills, woodlands and streams and with a pretty garden and a great swimming pool. Located in a protected nature reserve, it's like going camping but with the luxuries of a home. Outside you have a gorgeous little garden terrace with a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a stove, large fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and all utensils and tableware. The village of Les Mayons is nearby where you can stock up on groceries.
There are two double bedrooms sleeping a total of 4 guests, one of which has a TV and a writing desk. This is a great place to come and enjoy a peaceful, Provençal country setting which is an easy 30-minute journey to the popular resort town of St. Tropez, famous for its sandy beaches, celebrity sightings and the sheer beauty of the town itself.
St. Tropez: St. Tropez is know for its ability to attract summertime celebrities, for its wonderful, if not a bit pricey, restaurants and its sandy beaches and many beach clubs along the Baie de Pampelonne. The best time to visit is in Spring or early Summer before the entire sun-worshipping world descend upon this beautiful town, and it's best to leave early in the morning to guarantee yourselves a good spot on the beach and to avoid the traffic tailbacks. If you fancy getting on the water then there is a ferry service between St. Tropez to Saint. Aygult, Sainte-Maxime and Port Grimaud or you could take advantage of the Saint Tropez water sports centre and try your hand at surfing, wind-surfing and jet-skiing. If you're travelling with children then Luna Park is a great place to visit which is packed with amusements, roller-coaster rides, Ferris wheels and waterslides which will keep them entertained for hours.
The is a beautiful little stone gite set in the peaceful woodlands of Provence. It is just a few moments from the village of Les Mayons, a traditional village known for its delicious jams, chestnuts, honey and strawberries, located within the protected nature reserve of Plaine des Maures. The whole area is filled with pine, oak, chestnut and cork trees as well as dozens of streams and brooks.
Bringing a car is highly recommended which also makes other towns far more accessible such as La Garde Freinet, Gassin, Sainte-Maxime, Grimaud and St. Tropez. A trip to St. Tropez during your stay is a must which is a beautiful resort town with a pretty old town, sandy beaches, amusement parks and it's a popular stop over for super yachts on their way up the coast to Cannes.
