Guestbook comments from the owner
yesterday we arrived safely in stormy and rainy Germany. Thank you very much for the good time in your house and the hospitality.
We enjoyed our stay and the wonderful countryside, and even the Cote d'Azur couldn't come up to it, it was just as cold, only much more traffic...
Nevertheless we enjoyed our holidays.
I came to France in 1991 to run a small business on the airfield close by. I sold the business after starting a family, two boys 16 and 20, who both help out running the lodge. I now work from home and am I now work from home and am studying a university course by correspondence.
According to the local tourist office this is one of the most spacious and attractive holiday lets in their area.
It's always given us the sense of freedom that comes from having a lot of space to yourself but at the same time it's conveniently close to the things one wants to do.
The local villages still function as village communities which makes for a very civilised way of life.
We've enjoyed receiving guests from all over the world and all walks of life. Retired couples here for the flavour of France to bands of skydivers here for the excitement.
We adapt around each guests tastes, with some families we've more or less shared children for the week, others are clearly here to enjoy time alone together.
However i think everyone has appreciated there being someone on hand, there's always a question about where to buy something, or eat, best places to swim at this time of year, or a car to be pulled from a ditch!
If you've any questions about the lodge or area please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Have a good holiday
