Right on the harbour, the house faces south across beautiful Roaring Water Bay, spacious, bright and fully equipped for comfort. All rooms have views of the bay, the islands and ruggedly beautiful Cape Clear. Our private boat mooring can be available to guests by prior arrangement.

You can relax and observe the vibrant maritime life of the harbour from our sheltered garden with its BBQ area, from which steps lead down to a smaller garden bordering the pretty stream that runs along the property.

The heart of the village - with its varied shops, restaurants and traditional pubs, several with live music - is just a two-minute walk from the house,

Schull has long been associated with food production of the highest quality. (Check out the lively Schull Country Market on Sundays). The area offers a range of summer leisure, sporting and cultural activities: sailing, boating, diving, angling, arts events, music festivals and many diverse excursion options on both land

Lovely house and views from all rooms

House immaculately clean and well equipped. Owner very pleasant. Beautiful garden looking over the harbour, sunny from 10 in morning to 8 in evening late July. Great super fresh fish and chips available in harbour take away and dine out in the garden.Deep water swimming in the Dogs hole nearby also pebbly beaches. Wonderful holiday.

Charming Waterfront Property

This is a delightful house 3 bed house with comfortable accommodation and very much a feeling of someones ''home'. The location is very convenient to the village, the waterfront, the playground and tennis courts so much so that we hardly moved our car which remained in the secure court yard belonging to the house. The rush of the river beside the house is both soothing and disguises any late night noises which one might hear at the busy times of the year. The garden to the house is charming, with a nice patio area and BBQ which can be used when the sun shines . Also a good supply of essential herbs which are always useful - tarragon, rosemary, sage, chives and some thyme just under the bay window.

September week in Schull

Just back from a week in Schull staying at Riverside. House was in a great location, convenient for local amenities and the village had everything we needed. Great scenery including the legendary Molls Gap, Tim Healey Pass and Caha Pass are within easy drive. Barleycove Strand in the sunshine was class - could have been in the Caribbean!
The house was recommended by a friend and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Harbour Hideaway

I stayed at Riverside Cottage during the last 2 weeks of June with my mum and cousin. This house is ideally positioned with stunning views of the harbour and surrounding countryside. The village of Schull is just a 2 minute walk, this location combines the benefits of stunning scenery with all the convenience of modern living. The house is comfortable and very homely and is equipped with all required modern conveniences. The caretaker is very helpful and accomodating.
Schull as a village is very picturesque and friendly with local arisan shops and markets. The surrounding countryside provides some of the most spectacular, unspoilt scenery in Ireland.

Perfect house, perfect location,perfect Village

Stayed in house for 2 weeks in summer 2012. The house has a beautiful location overlooking the everbusy Schull Harbour. Beside all facilities in the town and adjacent to a charming park with tennis courts, basket ball / 5 a side pitch and an outdoor gym. Beautiful walks to Derreentra pier for swimming, kayaking in harbour and a sailing school all within 200m.

Good restaurants, good bars, good people. Ideal place for an active holiday, ideal place for a lazy holiday or maybe simply an ideal place.

Schull is located on the Mizen Peninsula in picturesque West Cork, in the southwest of Ireland. Thanks to the gulf stream, the climate is particularly mild with palm trees and eucalyptus trees growing here. This beautiful fishing village, its harbour looking out to Roaring Water Bay, is world famous among the sailing community. The village offers all types of recreational, cultural and sporting activities. There is a book shop, a traditional bio-store and even a small chocolate manufacturer as well as craft and design shops, nice restaurants and cafés and, of course the famous small pubs.
