Holiday house in rural Location sleeps 5-7

The house is set at the end of a quiet terrace in the beautiful hamlet of Sancreed. It is on the slopes of the ancient ‘Sancreed Beacon’ which is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. From the front of the house are magnificent views overlooking the Cornish countryside, with sea views of Mounts Bay. It is away from the tourist rush but only 15 minutes drive in three directions from stunning cliffs and sandy beaches. It is 4 miles from the market town of Penzance and St. Just with all facilities. The house can sleep up to 7 people, but is most comfortable for 5-6. Downstairs there is a light and comfortable living room with wood stove. It leads on to the conservatory/dining room. A compact and well equipped brand new kitchen. Also, a second living room with a small open fire, which can be used as 4th bedroom (double). Upstairs there are two double and a single bedroom, a separate toilet and a bathroom. A small garden at the front of the house and a larger one at the rear.

The house is friendly and light, artistically decorated with a selection of paintings by local artists, there are books and games, excellent local information and top tips, some beach equipment, and wifi. It is warm and cosy in the winter with full central eating a wood stove and open fire.

It is a safe and fun place for children to play, there is a small park with swings 2 mins down the road behind the beautiful Sancreed Church.

Sancreed Church: The church is primarily a thirteenth / fifteenth century structure, set in beautiful old grave yard in which there are two tenth century crosses. While inside the church can be seen an interesting wooden carved chancel screen. It is a peaceful spot to sit in the sunshine. There are regular services where visitors are welcome.

Most guest find Sancreed central to all the tourist highlights such as St Ives and the Minack Theatre. Eden is an hour door to door. Penzance is the main town and is a 10min drive, the promenade is lovely early evening. You can stroll to the top of ancient Sancreed Beacon from were you can see both coastlines and St Michaels Mount a great tourist attraction and visit the Sancreed Holy Well. Notes: The house is very homely and well equipped. It is an ideal quiet location to really get away from it all but also has excellent facilities for children and the whole family.

A secret paradise

I stayed here in July 2010. In my opinion there is no better place to be on a summers day than in the beautiful little village of sancreed. I would open the front door in the morning and look out at the ocean that you can see from the house, and feel so peaceful and full of joy.

The house is charming and cosy, and is the perfect place to come home to after a day out walking or cycling around the sacred sights, or sunbathing at the most beautiful beaches I have come across in this part of the world.

The little row of houses are very beautiful, and the neighborhood is quiet and secluded from mainstream traffic.

I would highly recommend this home to anyone who has an appreciation for beauty and peace or who wants an adventure in a secret paradise.

A sunny getaway

We stayed in this house September time, the weather was great and the sea was surprisingly warm. We slept wonderfully in this cosy home and went exploring in the daytime, cycling and picnics down at the beach. It really is a great location and is a hidden gem that comes highly recommended.

A Perfect Holiday!

My partner and I stayed at this beautiful cottage in May 2010. Set in the picturesque surroundings of West Cornwall, this really is the perfect location for a relaxing romantic break or a fun family holiday. There is so much to see and do, and we particularly enjoyed long walks through the Cornish countryside and on the stunning nearby beaches.

St. Michael's Mount (which you can actually see from the cottage) is a brilliant day out and well worth a visit. We really had a fantastic holiday which is why we've booked again for next year.

Cornwall has long been my favorite UK holiday location and Sancreed is beautifully located equidistant from three coasts and within easy reach of the nearest town of Penzance.

The cottage is a delight, unpretentious and with a comfortable homely family feeling, so we were able to relax and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The description is clear and accurate and the locality is perfect for those days when venturing further is just too much effort - within a short walk you have views of outstanding beauty and treasures of peaceful, time honored history.

The property was clean, tidy and sufficiently well maintained, and we didn't feel the need to worry about about taking over someone else's home.

The owners are friendly and welcoming and very easy to get on with.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this as an A+ holiday experience.

This place was a real find! Really peaceful, cosy place with plenty of space and facilities for a decent sized family. We couldn't believe how close we were to the sea (door to water in 15 minutes!) and there are some beautiful walks right on your doorstep. Everything was spick and span and for a nice getaway we couldn't have asked for more.
