Awarded 4 STARS and a GOLD Award for exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service by Quality in Tourism

ACCOMMODATION: On the ground floor the spacious living room has an original oak archway through to the kitchen at one side and, at the back, a garden room with a lantern roof light and folding doors onto the courtyard garden. PETS: One well-behaved dog is welcome at the cottage. We ask that they stay downstairs (sleeping in the garden room) and keep off the furniture.

WELCOME PACK: Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all provided, with beds made up ready for arrival. We provide a complimentary bottle of wine, biscuits, milk, bread, butter and fresh flowers to welcome you. There are also supplies including tea and coffee. A starter supply of logs for the wood burning stove is provided.

Wenhaston is a pretty village located just off the A12 near to the market town of Halesworth and surrounded by open countryside and heaths. ** Southwold's sandy beaches, pier and other facilities (including Adnams brewery) are within easy reach as are Dunwich, Walberswick and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere. ** Aldeburgh and the concert hall at Snape Maltings (home of the Aldeburgh festival) are a short drive away.

There are several golf courses and two riding stables in the area and two pubs within walking distance of the cottage (The Queen's Head at Blyford and The Star at Wenhaston). ** Trains run to Ipswich and London from Halesworth and there is a bus service through the village. ** As well as providing a good base for a beach holiday, the area is popular with birdwatchers, cyclists and walkers and a visit to Woottens nursery is a must for the keen gardener.

Golf: The nearest golf course is Halesworth. There are also courses at Aldeburgh and Southwold and there’s a 9 hole course in the High Lodge complex on the other side of the A12 (where there is also fishing and shooting).

A Perfect Suffolk Hideaway

5 out of 5
Review Submitted: 18 April 2012 Date of Stay: April 2012
This is a really lovely cottage - old, characterful and beautifully maintained - its even better than it looks in the photos. Lots of generous touches from the owner, quality bedding & comfy beds and a lovely bathroom make this a very special place to stay. Plus there's lots of interesting places round and about to visit and lovely Suffolk countryside all around. We'll be back!

Rose Glen Cottage

5 out of 5
Review Submitted: 18 April 2012 Date of Stay: April 2012
MY family had a wonderful stay in Rose Glen cottage. The cottage was presented in impeccable condition and looked even better than it does on the web site. It has been refurbished to an impressively high standard with all the creature comforts and wonderful conservatory to eat in and lovely garden, unfortunately the weather did not permit the use of the garden. The property was spotless with excellent facilities and would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending it to others. There is a lot of attractions surrounding the area and the local pub a few minutes from the cottage served lovely food. There are plenty of great walks in this area and some great national Trust treasures to have a wander around. Customer service was excellent.
