Wonderful place, beautiful community outside Dublin

This area was delightful. We went into Malahide, which is a great opportunity to see a beautiful community right outside Dublin. You get a chance to see everyday life, which is not always apparent when you stay in the city. of course, they have 800 year old castles in the park, but otherwise, its fun to see how similar life is across the globe. We were right across from the bus stop which took about 40 minutes to get into Dublin, one block off O'Connell Street.
The place was clean, well-equipped, good water pressure in the shower (a must for me), and close to a grocer, butcher and bakery, so we could make meals instead of always eating out.

Wonderful location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Owl's Rest, located only 5 miles from Dublin Airport. Paul was a wonderful host, and we enjoyed the lovely apartment. The location is perfect and from here we were able to explore the amazing Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland and Cliff's of Moher, both about a three hour drive from the home. We also toured the Guinness and Butler Chocolate Factories in Dublin. Nearby, McGovern's in Malahide has fantastic food. Conveniently, there is a large grocery store only a couple of miles away. The full kitchen is great: we ate our breakfast at home, packed a lunch, then ate out for dinner. We loved the feel of being so close to Dublin but off the beaten path. We definitely recommend this apartment as a home base for touring beautiful Ireland!

Perfect house to stay for relaxation - gardens, off the road, quiet, sunny rooms, yards, all super clean. Site exactly as pictured. Owner welcoming, ready to take care of any needs including golf discounts. Easy walk to grocery, wine, ready to eat meals, bus, train, beautiful coastal scenery. Easy access to airport, major hwys. Location great hub for road trips throughout IRE. Plan to come again. Comforts of home at reasonable price. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Have a good look at the photographs and when you arrive you will not be disappointed by your holiday home choice. Even the sofas are comfortable and this is rare in many holiday rentals. Overall a well appointed place to stay and excellent guidance and advice from property owner PJ.

Wonderful stay!

We spent a week at the Owls' Rest house and had a wonderful time! PJ was an absolutely fantastic host, providing us with lots of information about the area and offering to drive us around to orient us. Positively charming and friendly. The house was the perfect size for 4 people, and a fabulous location - close to Dublin City and transport, but far enough away that you're not in the center of a tourist area. Shops and pubs were very close by, and the area is very safe. The beach was a nice stroll away, and amenities were all that we needed.

Thanks a million, PJ! The next time we're in the Dublin area, we'll definitely look to your property to stay!
